These trades work 'BUT' neither Memphis, New Orleans nor New York would ever do any of these deals.

LMA + Dejounte Murray to Memphis for Marx Gasol
I'm sure Pop would love to add the third, much more political Gasol brother.

No doubt. I'd go for it in a heartbeat. The Spurs organization top to bottom would go for it. I just wish Memphis would go for it.

LA + White + Milutinov + 18' 1st to Detroit for Andre Drummond?

Drummond had a down year and people are questioning his work ethic in Detroit -- which I'm not too thrilled about. However, he is only 23 years old and could use a change of scenery. I'd value his skillset and his age over LA in a heartbeat.

This deal would replenish Detroit w/ 2 assets moving forward and it would clear Drummonds deal off the books.

I don't think Detroit values Drummond as highly as all that. I think you are overpaying by either White, or a #1 or possibly both. I am not a Drummond fan, but I think you are right; he might benefit from a change of scenery. But the guy is as bad as Dwight or DJordan from the line. That's why Detroit went with Baynes a lot in crunch time.

The only way the Grizz would trade Marc Gasol to Spurs is to piss the Warriors off, otherwise he probably gets traded to an Eastern Conference team.

I don't like his FT shooting either, but maybe Chip can help a little bit? Like his positives and his age, but let's be real here.... Will the Spurs be able to sign somewhere better than 23-24 yr old Drummond next summer ( he'd essentially be their FA addition next summer)? I highly highly doubt it. Every player seems to have warts except the top 5-10 players in the NBA, are we going to just wait around and be picky and pray to get another top 5-10 player the next 2-3 years?

Overpaying. Lma and drummond are about equal. Id throw in milutinov, but not white or any 1sr rder.

I liked the idea of offering LMA to Utah for Favors and Diaw - all 3 on expiring contracts. Start there, then throw in Hanlan () if you have to.

I'd take that as well, but I'd want Utah to throw in a 2nd rounder since they are getting the better 1 yr rental.

I'd do LA + Militunov straight up for Drummond if that works.

Is this some eye test throwing again?

LMA had the most contested rebounds on the team and at a very respectable 39.5%.

For comparison - contested rebounds % for top 5 rebounders :
    H.Whiteside - 41.4%
    A.Drummond - 42.7%
    D.Jordan - 39.0%
    R.Gobert - 38.5%
    D.Howard - 39.9%
    ---------------------
    Bonus : D.Cousins - 32.6%

Also, note that Aldridge's average rebounding distance is much much higher than any of these, meaning he actually contests shots, instead of turning his back on the shooter and going after the rebound.

Seriously, Aldridge wasn't great last season, but the hate for him is getting ridiculous to the point of throwing bull made up stats just for the sake of hating.
This! That's some good data that you have there

I have been saying it for quite some time, Lamarcus has been pretty solid as a second guy for us.

Just needs to stop settling for turnaround jumpers. Open jumpers? Take them all day long but if youre going to post up, back your man down and do a hook or layup or pass when doubled. More rebs too, despite the stats.

That's just not him. LMA can't back down players specially if they're smaller/quicker than him because he can't dribble near the paint to save his life. He gets nervous when he's double teamed.

    Spurs send LMA to Utah.
Utah sends Diaw and Favors to Spurs.
    I'll take that.
I hope Favors can be healthy.
Diaw might be good for some games, if he's slacking, play the young guys.

I'm all for pissing off GSW. C'mon Memphis, you know you need LMA. Besides it would be the right thing to do, letting Marc and Pau win an NBA Championship as teammates.

Ppl don't understand it isn't just about LA throwing a fit...it bleeds it's way onto the court with his very obvious lack of heart and hustle...and this was LAST year before him being disgruntled was public...he NEEDS to go
I don't think he just realized that the Spurs are giving up on him as a threat on the post, and are moving towards the beautiful game, and he won't be getting his touches anymore and is requesting to be traded.

I don't think the Celts are willing to take back any salary unless it is Hayward's. They are moving Crowder to make cap space for him.

Looks like Jazz may not pick up Boris team option.

    Favors might be traded.

The deal looks good to me.

Speaking about the most interesting man in the NBA, here is Boris with the French commandos:
