That Evans contract should definitely influence Simmons value. Both are awful shooters. Simmons is a better defender though so he should get more. Probably split the difference between Evans and Roberson at 7m.

No, he didn't need to mention it anywhere. Even if that was a good contract Spurs bringing back the same team is in general not going to be seen as a good off season when GSW is already far more talented than us. Don't need to prolong the conversation though. Just brought it up because Lowe basically praised the contract at the time and you were saying he didn't even mention the "bad" Patty contract.

The spurs could have used Evans this year. Memphis gets him on a year rehab contract for 3 mil.
Spurs give rudy a team option for year 2 at about 8.5 million. So if rudy is still not effective and fully recovered from his injury then the spurs are paying him almost 3 times the rate for year 1 and he will opt in to year 2 if he doesn't bounce back from the injury.
