    Not than Erasan, no.
Overall for the price, yes. They have same skill sets. Bertans just needs time and he's close ability wise.

What's the price? And Bertans has a long way to go before he can board like Ersan.

Bertans is making less than vet minimum. Ersan is probably going for 8-10 mil per considering Bogdanovic deal.

If Spurs can get Ersan for vet minimum, or exception, sure by all means.

    I'd trust Pick. He's like the Euro-Sham.
Yeah after those initial reports that Milutinov was meeting with the Spurs instead of playing for Serbia I checked the internet and this mother er is on vacation.

Bertans fragility and high centre of gravity don't help him much in that regard (boxing out/boards).

Yeah. Ersan is way better. I'd totally S&T Simmons to the Hawks for him. Dude's a career 16/9 per-36 guy. If Gay is coming off the bench, I'd love him to start with LMA.

Glad to not see the Spurs on that list. I might literally vomit if he ever signed here

Could careless about those per 36 stats on bad teams. It's about skillsets. While Ersan has a valuable skillset to a degree, the skill-set of Bertans is pretty damn close. Flipping Simmons for Ersan would be a mistake. Spurs need Simmons' perimeter defense off the bench, desperately. IMO That asset/ skillset is invaluable. Not to mention Simmons ability to get buckets when needed.

Honestly don't think Simmons is that great of a defender. I like him and would like him back. But he is getting massively overrated based on a few games in the playoffs. And I'll take his body of work up to this point over a couple playoff games tbh

Simmons isn't that good on defense. That's something JVG made up. He's gotten better on that end, but he and Danny aren't in the same conversation, and Kyle runs circles around him (though it looks like he's walking).

The Spurs can bring in Hanga, who's very likely a (way) better defender than Simmons. Especially if Manu comes back, Simmons makes no sense. It's not even clear that he'd have a consistent rotation spot -- he's still the dude who lost his spot last season.

Don't you find it intimidating that Ersan has gone from team to team?

My only issue with Bertans getting solid minutes at the 4 is, while he's an earnest box-out guy, he's just not good at tracking and grabbing boards.
This means the team needs to send a perimeter guy to help nab the RB which slows the transition game more than any coach would like and we know how effective the transition game is, when you can get it.

I sure would like to see Bertans go out and get some of those RB's that get snatched in front of his face more, but I'm not sure we'll ever see that.

Bowen, Jackson, Nazr, Green, Belinelli, Butler (shouldn't have been cut)...

Spurs have made a living off of guys who bounced from team to team.

Granted, we are also hoping to the do the same with Gay, and have to hope he doesn't turn into another KMart experiment.

Not really. He had been traded from mediocre or bad teams all trying to acquire big name talent. He had spent the first seven seasons with one team and only went to his second team two years ago.

Wasn't he the first guy to report LMA to SA?
