Why the does this man keep taking discounts?
As mavs fans are overall got and can't even celebrate properly their own players, I thought a Dirk appreciation thread is much needed.
20 years with Mavs, a third discount to resign for the mavs, >30 000 points... dude is a boss

But he's letting Cuban him over again. Took a huge pay cut a few years ago when he didn't have to. Then we figured Cuban made up for it last summer with the two year $50 million deal, only to opt out of the team option second year and not only take $15 million back, but spread that remaining $10 million over two years? Wtf? If the Mavs don't sign anyone significant, then Cuban just ed Dirk over big time.
The German better be getting paid under the table... probably is.
Yeah, there was literally no point to this discount. The Mavs are going to suck for the rest of Dirk's career, he should have just kept taking the money.
If anything, Cuban is a huge ing asshole for constantly talking about how gay he is for Dirk, then pulling crap like this. Even if Dirk insisted on taking a small deal, Cuban should have felt morally obligated to pay Dirk what he deserves.

That sucks man, Cuban should be paying him $30 million this year, then Dirk can think about taking $5 million a season if Dallas could land someone in free agency. Because the market is bare right now and there is no one for Dallas to sign this summer. I mean really, you're going to have Dirk take a paycut to sign Dewayne Dedmon or JaMychal Green this summer?

Dirk's a boss. Beat one of the most unbearable teams ever. Always loved his game.
Dirk doesn't care about money from everything I've seen. (Watch the Netflix on him). But if he is getting paid extra, it's probably in the form of cheap ownership shares after his career is over.
Cuban is a pro-establishment Shillary supporter, so it's a damn safe bet.
06 & 07 Mavs WERE the most unbearable teams ever, tbh... thanks to D-Wade & B-Diddy for knocking them off.
So far he sits over 240 M$ of contract earnings during his career. I think he is fine with what he earned already, he is trying to help mavs stay compe ive. Mavs ed up a lot during his career but they also treated him well. He is delighted with the idea to close 20 years career in a mavs uniform, good for him and for mavs fan base that has been blessed
I hope my nigg Parker comes back strong and does the same with the Spurs tbh...

I'd give the 2011 Mavs a shot against anyone tbh. One of the most godly things i've ever watched.
That said, he was done before Duncan.
