I'm fine with Rudy, but man, this PG rotation is such a major gamble on SA's part. It's legit bad and there is so much pressure on guys like Murray/Forbes/White to do something which scares me a lot.
I think he's ready for a taste. A taste of success and see how that feels, as opposed to personal wealth.
We'll see how it goes...
Hopefully they do succeed and no major injuries happen and he buys in and plays more D like Aldridge has done and this team does something... I don't know... Something special.
Totally doubt it. But...

DWorst's playing for the Worriers mate.
Worst case scenario: Patty is the starter and brings it up, just to give it to Kawhi every time.
And there it goes.
The plays start with Kawhi.
Not through the whole game... but every time it gets crunch: Patty to Kawhi: Go.
I'm about to change my default to Rudy Gay just to support this dude with the amount of hate he's receiving in this thread.. Ridiculous.
One guy doesn't quite fit in that photo. Hopefully he'll have a change of heart and seriously get over himself.
Damn... you got me there, as always Doc.
Kawhi already looking dejected af
I do think Signing Gay was the right move. If he plays well, Spurs get him at a steal for one year and get the inside track to re-sign him along with the rep for rehabilitating players like Gay after injuries or instilling a winning culture. Pardon the pun, but if he flames out, then Spurs having a down year gives us a better draft position next year plus we will have cap space to sign another superstar. It's not like we are going to beat GSW this year. So compiling assets for a year is a smart move.
Look, if SA brings back the same team basically and Gay sucks, they won't be getting a good draft pick. They will still be a top 4 team.
Also, keep in mind, that cap space comes with LMA leaving. SA really needs 3 stars and right now they have 1.5. If LMA leaves and they get a legit star, that would be 2, but it would be damn nice to just keep adding to LMA/Kawhi
LMA will be an expiring contract. It will be valuable for a team over the cap (and there are a lot of them). Same with Gay's contract if he opts in.
Spurs arent necessarily bringing back the same team. Losing Manu and Dedmon will have an impact, especially if Gay is in and out of the lineup or if he has lost too many steps. I'm not saying a lottery pick, but being a 4 or 5 seed or even lower wouldn't bother me. If we can't win it all, and as cons uted, not sure we can, I don't mind Spurs underachieving for a year.
I averaged a triple double in high school but i didnt do like mills last post season. Im sure gsw gives as much about my high school as the australian olympics.
You ed around and averaged a triple double?
It's not whether or not I mind it, it is what it is. Them underachieving really does nothing to help the team is what I'm saying.
Sure you did, brah.
Will you indulge me in an experiment? Take Murray off your avi - let's see how he does the next SL game. If he sucks you can put it right back.
Dude, he's gonna be good. You don't need to worry about SL.
I know. But indulge me, please? It's my birthday.
If it's your birthday. No lie?
I can't lie to you. It's not my birthday.![]()
one night dude.
Dabom - I now feel bad for all the private messages I sent to my uncle to ban you![]()
