It's going to be pretty funny if Hanga is gone, Manu retires, and one of the last teams with space signs Simmons to a deal the Spurs don't match on.

    And no Milutinov

And funny to see them once again get suckered on the Gay deal. All his other good options off the table for mle money ... Still suckers the Spurs into a player option for a 30 year old iso player with a blown achilles
We're really going to really complain about an 8 million dollar player option on a player who's upside is huge? REALLY? Some of you had some insane expectations coming into this offseason if you are this upset about it.

Sean Marks ain't doing too bad.

    Russell/Lin/Carroll/Booker/Mozgov

In the weak East, maybe they sneak into the Playoffs.

Now they got a pick in 2018 and after this they will have all their firsts.

But seriously they won't be in the playoffs but best case scenario they don't give Boston another top 10 pick
He's doing the right things. Carefully build up assets, use cap space as a dumping ground from other teams so long as they give you picks. Find bargains.

Yep, Bradley doesn't shoot that well but Danny isn't 2014-Green anymore.

SAS just have players who are getting old, young players who won't see minutes unless a bad injury of a starter like in Murray situation...

I wonder when the Spurs get elite players on the same Kawhi's timeline to make SAS' future outlook a little cleaner.

In 2018? Really? They could sign just ONE great FA so what would be exactly Spurs' core in Kawhi's prime years?

That's why Wolves off-season moves look way better than Houston's..They have 3 great players on the same timeline. Like Warriors.

I'm not sure about the way that the Spurs are building their future...

Minnesota doesn't even have one great player. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

If Hanga and Larkin don’t officially sign the offer sheets by today. They can only play with Baskonia unless there is a negotiation&buyout

KAT will be a monster next season. I would consider the Wolves a terribly built team (and with a 'score-first pg' Teague at point guard included with those other guys they might be) but KAT balances everything out with being one of the most versatile big men I've seen.

That's fine. Kentucky players don't move the needle much for me in terms of winning games. He'd be the first. Davis has kind of plateaued in my estimation.

Uh, there's a guy named John Wall who went to Kentucky and then turned a hapless Wizards franchise into a perennial playoff team.

    Your takes

He's done alright. I'm not too impressed by the wizards. They're fine for an Eastern Conference, where a 55 win team is the top of the heap every year.

I'm talking actual contention. A guy named David Robinson took a team to the playoffs every year with a pretty ty supporting cast, something Anthony Davis fails to do.

So, no, still not impressed by Kentucky players, one single sort of example notwithstanding.

Pretty sure the reason the Wizards aren't contenders is because Ernie Grunfeld somehow has unlimited job security. Not because they drafted a Kentucky player.

    Haha, nice try.

If Wall was Paul Pierce or Iverson or Vince Carter, they'd be in the ECF every year. But no, he's just John Wall.

Toronto is finalizing a sign-and-trade with Indiana to move Cory Joseph for CJ Miles, league sources tell ESPN.

Sources: Toronto-Indiana deal is agreed in principle. Miles will sign a 3-year, approximately $25M deal with Raptors, with player option.

I thought CoJo has played well for them. Maybe they want to give their first rounder the minutes now, Delone Wright?

Apparently two Spanish teams were competing to sign Hanga. He's not barred from playing in a different league so far (contract is not signed/burocrátic procedures not completed).
