they aren't exactly the same. One campaign actually worked with a foreign government and got opposition research and paid a foreign national for opposition research, the other campaign tried to get opposition research from a foreign national and came up empty.

Honestly, since Britain and the Ukraine are our allies, it's certainly less concerning than a concerted and proactive effort by Russia to put a friendly candidate in the office of the President, especially given what we know about their other efforts. But illegal is illegal, and if they broke the law then I hope justice is served.
