If it's just " in' Summer League," then why does this thread exist? Trolling will get you nowhere fast son. -15 points for trying to rile up Laker fans
Thread exists because Lavar created hype thats very difficult to backup, if not Longo could be another regular rookie but that would be boring, Lavar is a funny and did the right thing now we analyze every single thing Longso does.

Changing the goal posts once again..... Par for the course tbh
    What "goal posts?"

I never changed them. Until Longo proves himself as a scoring threat in the vein of every other top PG in the league, he won't be anywhere near a top-tier PG. Basketball has changed. PGs are now the primary scorers on the floor. They have to be in order to excel in the pick-and-roll, which all the top teams spam now.

I'm going to leave this here for the rubes like Med who think I'm just "hating."

    http://stats.nba.com/players/ball-ha...gular%20Season

Look at how the pass-first PGs with suspect jumpers in Rubio and Rondo did in pick-and-roll situations. .80 PPP and .62 PPP respectively. Now compare those numbers to Thomas, Harden, Curry, Lowry, Lilliard, Irving, etc.

Longo is shooting 20 in' percent from 3 in SL, against truck drivers. Without that 3 point shot to pull out defenses, he won't be able to run an effective modern NBA offense.

UCLA practically didn't play PNR while rubio and rondo live off of it in their Xth NBA season
talking % with a minuscule sample -> he gonna average a triple double

No, Rondo and Rubio don't "live off of it" since they can't run it effectively due to their poor jumpshot.

You just don't get it. To run an effective PnR, you need to have a deadeye 3 point shot off the dribble to counter when defenders go under to take away the drive and also a strong midrange pull-up to counter when defenders go over the screen to closeout on the 3. Longo has neither. You know how many midrange jumpers he took in college? 1 every two games

Now, it's entirely possible he develops those skills. Kawhi Leonard did, and he had the worst jumper in college. But I wouldn't count on it because Lakers player development. Until then, Longo will be Rubio/Rondo level in the NBA sans the defense.

Yeah, stick to the TicTacTrot forum. I'm sure there's a thrilling 0-0 tie you can break down with the rest of the drum banging neanderthals over there.

LeHype is really good at P&R and he's only a career 34% 3pt shooter. Unless 34% is "deadeye" shooting?

Yes his shooting needs a lot of work, but the court vision is there. Even Tony Parker struggled with his outside shot early in his career, Jason Kidd for the most of it. His 1-on-1 defense needs work as well, but defensive awareness is there.

It's SL action, I don't think he's gonna try hesi pull up jimbos as much during the season when he has people like KCP and Brolo to pass to.

He's a diamond in the rough but he has the whole fan base excited for something.

LeBron can bully ball his opponents by hook or by crook, so he gets away with that kind of three-point shooting. Lonzo needs to develop an outside shot if he wants defenses to honor him. His shooting will open up a lot of passing lanes. I'm not worried, his shot is starting to fall although he does really brick it badly when he misses.

    http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/...zo-ball-1.html

.41 %3pt on 5.4 attempts a game. he usually took them from NBA range too. the college midrange shot is pointless, even in the NBA it isn't very efficient under these rules and coaches/offenses use it rarely. Also, even if they will rework his shot and that % might dip a couple of seasons that 3 at that volume means you can't leave him open.

This is of course disregarding the minuscule sample size, the fact that he's a rookie, that fact that he has a challenging situation right now (lavar, mom half dead, high pick).

you are clueless and yet you talk , you're a funny wanker tbh.

How the did Rondo manage to shoot 57% in summer league? I have a hard time buying that he'd be able to do that in an empty gym, let alone against a defense trying to guard him.
