The prevailing view of Trump has only worsened: He’s ‘unpresidential’

A new Post-ABC poll shows a whopping 70 percent of Americans describe Trump as acting “unpresidential.” Only 24 percent say he's acted in a way that's “fitting and proper for a president of the United States.”

Even Republicans are surprisingly split on this question, with 54 percent saying he's acted in a way that's fitting and proper, and 38 percent saying he's acted in a way that's unpresidential.

A strong majority of registered voters — 56 percent — say Trump's behavior isn't just unpresidential but is “damaging to the presidency.” Even about 1 in 5 Republicans — 18 percent — agree.

Transparency Victory: Trump Forced to Release Mar-a-Lago Visitor Logs

'The public deserves to know who is coming to meet with the president and his staff.'

Watchdog groups are claiming victory on Monday after the Trump administration said it would release the visitor logs for Mar-a-Lago, the resort estate the president owns in Florida and which he dubbed the "Winter White House" after facing a lawsuit.

Citizens for Ethics and Responsibility in Washington (CREW), the non-profit National Security Archive, and the Knight First Amendment Ins ute at Columbia University in April sued the administration for records of the logs at the resort, as well as those for the White House and Trump Tower residences.

Their suit said that Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which has control over the records, had refused to turn them over in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

The suit also pointed to a letter sent the previous month by a group of senators who similarly demanded the release of the records, writing "the cloak of secrecy seems to be falling over more and more parts of your Administration."

A statement from the groups says DHS will turn over the logs for Mar-a-lago, and that CREW would then publicly release them by September 8th.

-Hired foxes to watch the chicken coops by filling his administration with archconservatives, many with records opposing the very agencies in which they work, and curbing civil rights and environmental enforcement.

-Intensified racial and other divisions by reducing governmental civil rights guarantees and reversing protections for sexual and racial minorities.

-Violated his own self-proclaimed ethics laws by allowing officials to deal with issues affecting their former employers. Permitted multiple instances in which he and other family members benefit financially from his presidency.
