i honestly don't have high expectation. he's going to suffer the most among rookies with the combination of hype, his conditioning, shooting mechanics and style of play.

I think ppg will be a bit higher. Maybe like 10-12. But these look pretty realistic. Honestly the 3pt percent may be lower. As you said his shooting mechanics are ing atrocious
honestly, if you look at him, he looks so frail by nba standards. his body is not ready for a full 82 game season + endless practice. he already missed 2 games in the summer league and no one even touches him there. the nba game is just a lot more demanding. all the bang and bruises will take a toll on him. like john wall said, nba players will target him, specifically because of the hype built by his obnoxious dad.
my percentages are also realistic. he was a poor FT shooter in college (65%) and I don't see his success in the 3PT line in college translating in the nba, at least in his rookie year. he doesn't have a quick first step and he's a poor finisher in the half court.
he can rebound well for a guard, i'll give him that. he can pass and make plays, that's automatic but I foresee a league leading TOV. I originally posted 3 a game but 4 or 5 turnovers a game is realistic. he's fun to watch but very reckless and it'll take time before he catches up to nba speed.
He could just be the next Jason Kidd though.

Lonzo's TS% will only suffer if Luke pushes him to become a scoring threat which isn't Ball's iden y. He'll have a great season and win ROY. I have zero doubts.

D'Angelo Russell posted similar numbers and that was during Kobe's farewell tour. Lonzo is not only a better player but he has the key to run the system with little to no restriction. Uhm, Iverson averaged as much during his rookie year. Like Iverson, Ball is not a good man 2 man defender but his help defense and anticipation in passing lanes is elite.
So not a bust afterall, right mid?
