Giving up LMA and Green would be a huge defensive loss for us tbh
Aldridge to the Cavs makes the most sense for both teams.
Giving up LMA and Green would be a huge defensive loss for us tbh
The Nuggets and Pistons are being mentioned suddenly online. Nuggets have assets, Pistons have Dummond but not sure the Cavs want him with a similar player in Thompson already.
Wouldn't trade LMA, Green, Murray, and a first for Kyrie tbh. Maybe two of those but not all four.
Yep. Would hate to lose both.
Agreed, but it would likely take us losing at least 3 of the above to make anything happen. Murray would certainly be gone.
The one thing that Kyrie can say, is that he won't resign with any team, other than the ones that he originally mentioned. This will force CLE to focus on those teams only. I don't believe any team will give up valuable assets just to get Kyrie for two years imo. If he doesn't give a promise to be there for the long haul, I believe a lot of teams will back off trying to pursue him.
Cavs-Bledsoe, Green, Murray+ Spurs 1st
Suns-LMA, Frye
Spurs- Irving, Chandler
That's the best possible/realistic deal including Spurs I've seen
As much as I want to believe this to be true, there are a lot of dumb GM's who would risk damaging a franchise's future to sell tickets for at least two seasons: DET/PHX/DEN All whom have better assets than SAS.
Could trade White and Murray alongside one of LMA/Green. Trading both of those two leaves several gaping holes on the roster that would take years to fix unless Cousins is brought on next year after all.
If they really want him, they will have him. They have by far the most assets. I think the Cavs won't care that it's a division rival if they bring back a huge haul. If they have Lebron, they're still the better team. And if Lebron leaves next summer, it won't matter anyway.
When in doubt look for MJ and the Bobcats.
Yes, but for some reason, I think LeBron would be pissed if Cavs strengthened the one team that could beat them next year. Plus they'd have to trade Isaiah. Not sure they would.
Now that I think about it that does seem like too much.
Zero chance Cleveland does a trade like this. They might as well trade 'Bron now if they do. He's running that franchise anyway, and if they have any hope of keeping him next year, it ain't going to be trading with their primary rival in the east.
So Kyrie is the Cavs version of JSimmons I guess.
We have to be careful. Kyrie is a great scorer (though he takes crazy shots), but his defense is horrid. He made Murray look like an all-star. So a trade for him helps on one side, but hurts on the other as we would have to give up several good defenders to get him. Not sure giving up Green and LMA makes sense as it will really hurt on the defensive side of the ball and the Spurs claim to fame the last two years has been their defense.
And that would be a big Yuck from me. I hate to see that much defense leave the team along with a prospect and a pick.
No it isn't. Aldridge is garbage and will be gone for nothing after this season if we don't trade him, Murray is a 29th pick who don't even know if will amount to anything someday, same thing with the late first round pick.
Green is the piece that I would have more problem parting with, but he's a role player that can't do anything but defend and shoot threes at a slightly above average level, and he's already on the decline. He's only going to get worse from here and his last season was already nothing to write home about, tbh.
Im sure Leroids is working hard for Kylie not to go to the Spurs
Since Lebron owns the team. Not gona happen
Celtics are hording 1st rounders like they are going to be outlawed soon.
Trade Idea:
Jalen Brown
Jae Crowder
Marcus Smart
2018 Celtics 1st round pick
2019 Memphis pick (top 6 protected, top 8 in 2020)
For
Kyrie Irving
would assume that would be the offer, not a bad haul for the Cavs. They should make a more independent of Lebron, do what's best for their franchise.
PG-Thomas
SG-Irving
SF-Hayward
PF-Horford
C-Baynes
PG-Rose-Smart-Calderon
SG-Smith-Korver
SF-Lebron-Crowder-Brown
PF-Love-Jeff Green
C-Thompson-Frye

No one on that team plays D, Lue doesn't hold them accountable. I'm guessing it would be different under Pop for Kyrie.
And it would help elsewhere, as teams wouldn't be able to hide someone on Parker/Murray/Mills at their defensive end.
The problem with moving Green is you'd probably have to take Shumpert back. I'd still do it to land Irving, and Shumpert could be a valuable expiring in 2018-19, but I'd much rather keep Green.
D. Murray could average 30 against that backcourt. If they get Kyrie, they'd have to give up Thomas. But I don't see them trading w/ Celtics.
