Did you even read what I wrote? If the vote on the bill never happened McConnell would still be able to push it under reconciliation this week. He can't now because McCain had McConnell put it up for a formal vote. McConnell can't do another reconciliation bill on spending until the new fiscal year in October. By getting McConnell to put it up for a vote he forced his hand in moving on from healthcare unless he's willing to work with Democrats on something that can get 60 votes. If he opposed the motion to proceed like Murkowski and Collins McConnell would have been able to get a vote on the repeal this week or next. Do I have to explain this to you like you're five years old? I'm not trying to diminish the roles Murkowski and Collins had, they were the actual opposition, in addition to red state Democrats like Manchin, Heitkamp, McCaskill, and Tester. But McCain is the one who got McConnell to commit to a floor vote and stop this ridiculous repeal bill for now.

This isn't a Trump issue. This seems to be snowballing. The only thing worse than being wrong on investing is being right with the wrong timing. You seem to have a very conservative view on America. I guess maybe I just have a more world view than you. I just want to kids to not be afraid to take a bold move. Lots of Americans are retiring And moving to a different county. Agree single payer is the destination, but not the cure all. 20 years ago? Yes. Nowadays? People are more likely to be obese and not care. Shifting the cost to govt will only speed the demise of the U.S. Howcanwe cut the total cost of health care? I don't see that number going down.
