2nd meme was about collective inherited guilt for something that happened in the past. Absolutely no correlation with statues You guys are terrific at spinning I will admit.
I am one of the most anti-collective/white guilt posters here. But you can't say let's move on from the past while wanting to keep monuments to said past. I get the statues are of people you like, but you cannot consistently say stop living in the past while keeping monuments to said past.

"We can't move forward if people want to keep living in the past."

"But, but, these laws from 1958 and 1929 say this about a war from 1861!"

Sure, no contradiction there. It's all just spin.
Keep looking for contradictions by comparing independent thoughts. Seems like a waste of time to me. If you feel like it gives you a victory, then more power to you

Sure the Empire is evil. But why aren't we talking about the violent Rebel Alliance?
Sure the cancer was aggressive. but the chemotherapy was also aggressive. There was aggression on both sides.
There is blame on both sides. Anne Frank was rude and a loud houseguest.

So far, you've compared the likes of Antifa to the soldiers on D-day, the rebel alliance, chemotherapy, and Anne Frank. mmkay

We all agree with Indiana Jones when it comes to Nazis.

Keep projecting to enhance your argument. It is amusing to me.

So boiled down: you tried to manufacture a controversy, got called out on it, and have to walk away with your tail between your legs ...

Go feign some more outrage ...

Keep trying, kid. Fail harder, please.

We all agree you've done a lot of work deflecting from Trump.

First meme decries the plight of civil "veterans" whose gravestones are being removed
Second meme decries those who live in the past and tells us to move on.

Either we should honor the memories of confederate veterans by keeping their headstones as monuments -- or -- we move on and stop living in the past. Like spurminator said, it's one or the other, but it can't be both.
Your first meme was about a 59-year-old law and an 88-year-old law that both pertained to people who fought in an 156-year-old war.

Your second meme was about moving on from the past and living in the present.
    Wow LOL Chris.

So weird that US troops who fought the Nazi's were largely straight white men -- the same demographic now allying with the Nazis.

The left is lauding the achievements of the demographic they lambast as privileged while the right has gone bat insane.
So defeating the Nazi's was an achievement of "largely straight white men"?

You are really going to go there?
American troops who fought the Nazis were predominately straight white men. Are you honestly disputing that?
    Nope.

But in order to make that argument, you sort of glossed over why that was. Complex topic, and your rush to draw moral equivalence between left and right in this case, opens your flank to criticism.

No. You're being dishonest and putting words in my mouth. I said troops.

You're uncomfortable being confronted with the fact that you're lauding the accomplishments of white men a la the picture you posted in this thread. I never said your siding with white men when it's expedient for you was at all equivalent with what the right is doing.

Next time, don't rush to manufacture a squabble with me because I'll make you look like an ass, again.
I think the bigger ass is the one who oversimplifies , then tries to declare victory when they get called on their stupid without bothering to really defend anything, nor answer straightforward questions.

Why were most of those troops white, vy?

No, Darrin. Once again, halfway there.

I compared Nazis to cancer, the Empire, and... Nazis, in so doing I was comparing people who make the "many sides" arguments to drooling idiots.

First post was about the troops -- you know, the ones that were in the picture you posted in this thread while making fun of the nazis. Per your concession, those troops were predominately white, straight, and male -- you know, the demographic you decry as being privileged. When this irony is pointed out to you, you flip out, manufacture a squabble, and when called out on it, you flip out some more.

Now, you're trying to manufacture more of an issue by claiming that the American war effort involved more than just white men. But that's not what you posted in this thread. That's not what you used to go after the nazis. You used a photo of white male troops. So go ahead and try to claim some nuance here -- the record speaks for itself though.

damn 10 seconds by CNN on Pence

"I stand by the president and by those words"

    back to 24hours of Trump

    holy blatant
It's funny how they are editing his comment to make it look like "stand by those words" refers to Trumps press conference.

To your credit you at least tried to answer a direct question.

The problem of course, is that the question was a leading one, designed to make my point for me. I am reasonably confident you thought you would show me up, which is why you answered it. Here is some more rope.

What were the two primary factors determining US demographic make up prior to 1925? (same two factors that determine todays demographics)
