Magic again can't keep his hands off other guys per the usual

Paul George is a poor mans Kawhi.
Given that Kawhi can barely take his team past round 2. Why is this even threadworthy?
Let the scrub be a laker imo. Wont change a damn thing
Paired with a top 5 player like Kawhi or Lebron, George could make a decent 2nd or 3rd option like Kirby was Shaq or GNob with Duncan.
Now is George anywhere near as good as prime GNob? no. He probably not even as good as Prime Kirby.
But he could contribute if he had one Top 5 and another player of legit All Star level on the team.
So it is relevant.
Not will have to, but may have to. That's one of the options but it's not a required disposition to a finding of tampering. It could simply result in a fine. Or perhaps suspension of the individual(s) involved. The NBA has never aggressively enforced tampering rules so unless it was really blatant like money or financial incentives were discussed it's not likely much will come of this investigation. Without a paper trail the most it will likely be is a fine.

You don't have to worry about lottery picks anyway. The Lakers found a gem in Lonzo and Ingram has undeniably Superstar potential. I would trade Blake Griffin for both, in a heartbeat. But that's just me.
exactly he a homeless man Kiwi tbh ...
he helps us cuz we suck but he cant save the Lakers ...and would br overpaid at the max
so much fail ....except the fact PG is, overrated
Come on, Paul George is a max player. Stop with the nonsense.
in your book not mine ...i wouldbt have even paid Blake dat at this point tbh ...
but my bar is high ...i would have not paid conly, hayward aldgridge etc max either
Just admit you're a Laker fan already, it's real obvious.
Magic always think he can say anything as long as he plasters that goofy ass smile on, and uses that fake ass laugh.
But I'm not though. There was a time when I rooted for Kobe. I still supported my Clippers when we're missing the playoffs year in and out.
I just happen to be a fan of Lonzo even before he was drafted by the Lakers. Anyway, I'll forever be a Clipper fan. #Realtalk
It has nothing to do with your imaginary book or mine. There's this thing caled salary cap and it's structure under the current CBA.
Paul George is a max player.
Yeah this is almost certainly going to amount to nothing. It's not like when Joe Smith signed three below market value one year deals with the TWolves so they could get Bird Rights and then his representation split at just the right time so that you had two agents each demanding their full cut of the big money deal he finally signed in Minnesota.
igaf S&H ..you know you cool with me ....
but i just never will agree with paying injury prone cats, like Blake or Parsons
borderline allstars like Conley or hayward or wrong side of 30 stars with heavy mileage like Aldridge, Chris Paul etc
Westbrook durant steph wall harden kiwi ant davis greek freak andvof course Lebron can take all of my money.
i would give them whatever ...they wanted.
but these pseudo stars who are at best 2nd options on a contender but probably a third option on a le team can get max $ elsewhere.
sure in this CBA you are right they are paid like max players but the return is ...
parsons, dwight, greg monroe, Aldridge melo all got max with diminishing returns.
its a hype move that dont mean ...
You cant win a le with any of them as your #2 let alone a #1
i said this for 3 straight years and only Leonard and To a lessor degree harden has proved me wrong ...
i repeat paying non franchise players max money is a ing mistake ...
And dont even get me started on Otto Porter ...

considering the faux friendship between bird and magic, im willing to bet larry urged ownership to file that tampering charge. you can tell bird is put on a position to like magic.![]()
I wonder if namlook gets the sarcasm here. lol That really screwed the Timberwolves and affected them from acquiring more talent to help with KG those years. Kevin Mchale thought he was smart but they lost over 3 million $ and 3 1st rd draft picks in 01, 02, 04 if I remember correctly b/c of that.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been fined $500,000 by the NBA for violating the league's anti-tampering rule on Paul George.
The conduct at issue involved communications by Rob Pelinka with the agent representing Paul George that cons uted a prohibited expression of interest in the player while he was under contract. The penalty reflected a previous warning issued by the NBA to the Lakers regarding tampering, following comments made by Lakers President of Basketball Operations Earvin Johnson about Paul George during an April 20 national television appearance.
The investigation did not reveal evidence of an agreement or understanding that the Lakers would sign or acquire Mr. George.
The NBA’s anti-tampering rule prohibits teams from interfering with other teams’ contractual relationships with NBA players, including by publicly expressing interest in a player who is currently under contract with another team or informing the agent of another team’s player of interest by one’s own team in that player.
Like I said ...
The Joe Smith scenario was in a totally different universe when it comes to violating the rules. The Lakers/George situation is nothing even close to that and the end result of a fine is consistent with what I said which was the most it will amount to is a fine given what we know about what transpired.
