Wth. Can we get back to imaginary scenarios where the Spurs trade garbage for Irving?
    Make this thread great again

I am starting to think this drags out for another month. Irving isn't gonna get trade until late September at the earliest, in my opinion.

Lol. Historically, yes the Democratic party was the party of the KKK, that could be tied more to Dixiecrats (Southern Democrats from Confederate States than the entire party itself. Republicans like to try and make up that Democrats didn't support the Civil Rights Act of 1964, but if you were to remove the Dixiecrats from the equation- they were the alt right of their day- then the Democrats did vote overwhelmingly in favor of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The Republicans then used the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to appeal to Southern whites who were concerned that blacks were gaining to much in society that became known as the Southern Strategy and helped get Nixon elected and almost permanently turned the deep south red. The GOP admitted and apologized for doing this to black leaders in 2004 while also trying to get black people to vote for them to reelect W. Bush, he ended up winning on 5% of the black vote.

The right has used iden y politics to appeal to white voters for generations and is one of the primary reasons why black voters have become permanently alienated from the party and why Hispanics and Asian American voters have mostly stayed away too. Believing that black people have been "brainwashed" into not voting Republican is yet another reason why black people often vote against the GOP, not to mention the GOP frequently votes against things that African Americans value on both the state and national levels and are almost always on the opposite side of issues that they care about; i.e, police reform, & health care.

Trump had a long history of racism, decades worth of stories and accusations; not just against black people (twice being sued for housing discrimination against black people post civil rights era) but against Native Americans, Latino's and Jewish people. You can't ignore 30 years of history just to make a point that isn't remotely accurate
Southern Strategy has been debunked multiple times. Here is a link from the NY Times talking about this very thing. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/10/ma...ion2b.t-4.html That being said, I do believe that there are racists in the republican party and also the democratic party. I mean ... could you imagine the outrage if Trump held his campaign headquarters in the hometown of the KKK like Jimmy Carter did?

Why did thee former RNC chairman personally apologize to black leader during the 2004 presidential campaign for employing the strategy?

This Trump/No Trump argument is as pointless as the Porker vs. Manure debate. At least the latter has something to do with Spurs basketball.

It's really not fair if he gets traded to the players Cleveland would get and Kyrie himself so near training camp. I think a deal if it happens will go down in early/mid September. I don't think the Cavs really want to trade him though.

They want police reform not dead cops , this is why the GOP can't make inroads with black people they aren't interested in helping curb police brutality. If they did then they wouldn't have had Rudy Giuliani speak at the RNC and they wouldn't have cheered when one of the cops responsible for Freddy Greys death got acquitted.
Lol really? You are unaware that Blm has chanted we want dead cops? That has been repeated multiple times in multiple different ways, such as, pigs in a blanket fry them like bacon. Classic liberal sheep right here, believes what the crowd does without making an opinion for himself. Herd mentality, it's pathetic. And I'm not even a Repub

Nah, he won the election. He's in the history books. Even if he ends up being the worst president ever, he was still POTUS.

But you're right, winning the election has made him a ton of enemies, some of them very powerful. His "legacy" will be under attack for decades.

His impeachment and ensuing trial will replace Nixons downfall as the worst disgrace to happen to the presidency. He'll die in prison alone and it's going to be epic.

During the civil war the south was full of slave owning Democrats. Fast forward to today and it's Democrats fighting to keep all those confederate statues in the blue states to remember our racist history and not Republicans. No? Possibly because the Southern Strategy worked.

Wow. The first weak Obama deflection took you too long and most of your party has stated otherwise. But to address your question, I just always thought he wasn't the re getting caught up in what name to give terrorists.

Btw, should we start labeling them Radical White Supremacist terrorists? After all, we should call them what they really are and they will miraculously vanish.
it's not a deflection, it's just a comparison. Obama could in the White House courtyard and nobody would bat an eye. Trump condemns violence in Charlottesville but it "takes too long for him to do it" and liberals think Hitler has risen from the dead.

He killed Osama bin ing Laden which the Republicans were too weenie to do.
You mean Seal Team 6? Giving Obama credit for that is kinda funny. Dude was "semi ok at basketball" and made jokes during his speeches. All liberals are concerned with is the fact that they thought he was "cool".
