Good passing, rebounding, defense and...driving to the hoop.

I know it's harder against better teams but Kyle needs to work at attacking the rim more. Sure, he's slow but he's a talented tall driver, not many teams have one.

The problem with Kyle is that he's most effective at the 3 or 4, just like Kawhi and Gay. Aldridge will also get some minutes at the 4.

Kyle has played the 2 on rare occasions and Aldridge will spend a good amount of time at the 5, but overall the team is stacked with forwards and thin at guard and center.

He has to change his at ude and be more aggressive. That is the the main area where he has to become better.

If he can hit the 3 and of course take it without hesitation it will have a huge impact on the Spurs season.

I thought his defense was the worst thing in his game. Guys blowing past him all the time.

They have 8 guards. Classic case of conflating quality with quan y.

Anderson is going to be the 9th man and his defensive rebounding will now be more necessity than luxury. Playing exclusively small off the bench should make his lack of shooting less of an issue.

Agreed! So many times I've seen him stand flat footed and try to poke the ball from behind when a guy goes by him. Moving his feet and trying to stay in front of his guy isn't his first option it seems, sadly.

20 man training camp roster, 4 squads
    8 guards
    8 forwards
    4 centers
with some combos in the mix.

His herky jerky slo motion offensive moves throw off the rhythm of the defenders since they are so used to players that really move with the ball. It's like making them play defense using Tai Chi. I bet they hate it sometimes cause players and fans say "MF, why can't you stop that?. He takes all day to move across the lane."

On defense, unfortunately, its a different story since they get to call the tune and can motor past him with ease.

He's a "finesse" player, with "intangibles" and lots of "projected upside"...
