Not making excuses, I mean those moves are legal in MMA and Conor can easily turn Floyd's body like he did tonight in the boxing ring and choke him down.
Mayweather will not feel comfortable in the octagon because he is not trained for that type of fight.

Floyd has 0 chance against any MMA fighter, his pussy style of fight wont last a minute in the octagon.
Too limited and too relying on the ref, no knowledge of keylocks/grabs or how to use legs.
He is not a power puncher either so 1 round tops.

I'm a boxing fan, just not a Mayweather fan. I miss the true battles like Holyfield vs. Bowe, Sugar Ray vs. Hearns, Gatti vs. Ward, Ali vs. Frazier, etc. Boxing is a dying sport, and Floyd is a big part of that.

You can't really compare rounds/time in boxing to MMA, i.e. Conor lasted 9 rounds but Floyd wouldn't last 1 min in the Octagon. MMA offers a variety of ways to end a fight quickly, while in boxing there's only the KO. And unless you have sick power like prime Tyson or Foreman, it's very difficult for anyone to end a fight in less than 5-6 rounds. Conor is a tough guy and Floyd doesn't have much punching power, so no one was expecting Tyson vs. Spinks.
I didn't watch the fight, but it's impressive Conor lasted that long, though Floyd could've been playing with him in the early rounds, as some have said. Not sure which sport gets the "win" tonight.

i wish the ref wouldn't have stopped the fight. i'm with the connor supporters on that one. but the round prior he was dead tired yo. dude had NO legs and was wobbling around and holding on for dear life. by round 10 it was a WRAP lol. everybody knew it. the ref was saving connor from himself and getting embarrassed. it would have been a lot more white tears of floyd would have made connor hit the canvas.

In MMA a fighter has a "puncher's chance" to get a wild one in, or to reverse a hold and get a tap out or just escape a hold. In professional boxing, when the fighter isn't defending, he's dead. There's no way a ref can allow someone like Floyd to tee off on the skull of a non-pro like Mac, it's not even comparable to the ground game.
Now Mac is going to think he can box and he's going to get a match against someone who isn't retiring, and he's going to get hospitalized.
