Donald Trump is starting a Republican civil war — and it’s a war he can’t win

President Donald Trump is in a no-win situation, and it’s all of his own making.
On Tuesday, while in Phoenix for his ambling, rambling rally, Trump met with two majorRepublicans, according to Politico: Jeff DeWit, the state treasurer and Robert Graham, a former GOP state chairman. Both men are reportedly mulling a primary challenge to in bent Sen. Jeff Flake, who has been a leading Trump target since last year:

Recently, the president has toyed with the idea of backing yet another primary challenger to Flake, Kelli Ward. He floated this idea on Twitter, of course.

    “Trump checkmated himself,”

Republican strategist Melissa Salas Blair told Salon.

“He’s looking at a chessboard and there’s no other moves.

Now all he can do … is just throw the chess pieces back in the air.”

“Right now you have a president who wants to go in and endorse people who are going against a seat,” Blair added. “Party chairmen don’t even do that. He’s completely dissing each and every [Republican] chair around the country.”

Longtime GOP strategist Rick Wilson ... called this situation in Arizona “unprecedented.”

the Republican powerhouses are taking notice.

That means that Trump is getting involved in a battle for his own party — and he’s going against everyone else in order to do it.

But more importantly, if Donald Trump loses, his political reputation is likely toast.

“Once the bully gets popped in the nose really hard, the opinions of the bully start to change,”

    Wilson said.

An elephant never forgets. And it seems that the Republican Party won’t forget what Trump is doing, either.

    ===============

Trash is also supporting Strange in AL against Christian Sharia asshole Roy Moore.

Alabama Senate primary: Battle of Trump-backed Strange vs. 10 Commandments judge Moore brings national attention

The most recent polling in the race has Moore in the lead, followed by Strange and Brooks. With 10 total candidates in the GOP field, a runoff is all but assured.
The possibility of a Trump-backed candidate potentially losing in staunchly Make-America-Great-Again Alabama is capturing national attention.

except for his greatly diminished mafia, Trash is severely isolated.

When Mueller lowers the boom, I bet Repugs will gladly, rapidly impeach and convict him, if the LOSER doesn't QUIT before conviction.

Don't be shocked but it was probably Trump who sent Till out there with that bile. Just like he sent that Jew money guy out on Friday.

Trump can't say such. He'd lose the vast lion's share of 60 million gold plated votes. They're like the Glen Garry leads:::they don't grow on trees.

    Joltin' Joe comes out swinging

“If it wasn’t clear before, it’s clear now,” he wrote. “We are living through a battle for the soul of this nation.”

“The giant forward steps we have taken in recent years on civil liberties and civil rights and human rights are being met by a ferocious pushback from the oldest and darkest forces in America,” he continued.

“Are we really surprised they rose up?

Are we really surprised they lashed back?

Did we really think they would be extinguished with a whimper rather than a fight?”

“Did we think the charlatans and the con-men and the false prophets who have long dotted our history wouldn’t revisit us,” he asked,

“once again prop up the immigrant as the source of all our troubles…?”

he derided the President for preying on “the hopelessness and despair that has grown up in the hollowed-out cities and towns,” across the American midwest.

“moral equivalency between neo-Nazis and Klansmen and those who would oppose their venom and hate,” and emboldening “white supremacists with messages of comfort and support.”

“This,” he concluded, “is a moment for this nation to declare what the president can’t with any clarity, consistency, or conviction:

There is no place for these hate groups in America.

Hatred of blacks, Jews, immigrants—all who are seen as “the other”—won’t be accepted or tolerated or given safe harbor anywhere in this nation.”

Joe actually sounds like a President, making appeals to morality, civility, inclusion

I cannot imagine ANY Repug politician, Fed, state, local, speaking like that, and have not heard any Repug speak like that for decades.

Another wave of top State Department officials quit this week in ‘Black Friday’ mass resignation

More top-tier officials left the U.S. Department of State on Friday in a quiet group resignation, according to a Foreign Policy magazine report published on Sunday.

    “Dissatisfaction is a big factor,”

said one official who has opted for early retirement rather than to fight on in an agency that is

being undermined by crippling budget cuts and

serially undercut by a president who has no knowledge or curiosity about the workings of international diplomacy.

Acting director of the Bureau for International Organization Affairs Tracey Anne Jacobson,

U.S. Assistance Secretary of State of International Narcotics and

Law Enforcement Affairs William Rivington and

top European affairs official John Heffern

have all joined a “growing wave of resignations” driven by the

chaos within the agency and President Donald Trump’s gross mishandling of the agency’s staffing and hiring process.

“Foreign policy professionals,” wrote Colum Lynch, are “being pushed out or resigning over frustration with an administration that has downgraded the importance of Washington’s diplomatic corps.”

    http://www.rawstory.com/2017/08/anot...s-resignation/

None of that hurts Trash's profits and auto-fellatio esteem, so he, and the Repugs, don't care if they up govt.

It's their strategy. The more ed up govt is, the better for the oligarchy to continue its coup d'etat.

Should Republicans in Congress boycott CNN? Sign the pe ion.

    https://brigade.com/campaigns/dde920...fc8/pe ions/

Don’t give interviews to CNN until they fire their fake news producer!

    From the Campaign
    Make Media Great Again
As your cons uents, we believe you should only be willing to give interviews to media outlets that are purveyors of the truth. CNN has proven to be quite the opposite time after time; in fact, the outlet just had to fire three employees when a Russia story was completely debunked as fake news! You know it’s bad when even CNN admits it was wrong! But, the outlet is still full of producers and journalists who are unfairly out to get President Trump and Republicans. John Bonifield, a CNN Supervising Producer, was caught through undercover video recordings saying that the President is right to call CNN’s reporting on Russia a “witch hunt” and recognized that there is “no real proof”. This producer shouldn’t be allowed to supervise CNN’s coverage of the Russia story and can’t be trusted to fairly convey the news. We respectfully request that you, as prestigious lawmakers, refuse to be interviewed on CNN until this producer is fired.

    How this will help
CNN is the ringleader of the fake news outlets who continuously misrepresent Republicans and especially Republican President Donald Trump. They’ve been under fire recently for an important story that was debunked as false. To make matters worse for them, a Supervising Producer there named John Bonifield was just caught on camera by a Project Veritas investigative reporter saying that the Russia/Trump collusion story “Could be bull . I mean, it’s mostly bull right now. Like, we don’t have any big giant proof.” He also says, “And so I think the President is probably right to say, like, look, you are witch hunting me.” As if that wasn’t enough, he also made it clear that CNN is entirely consumed with 24/7 Russia coverage with this quote: “And the CEO of CNN [Jeff Zucker] said in our internal meeting, he said good job everybody covering the climate accords, but we’re done with that, let’s get back to Russia.” By standing up to CNN’s fake news machine by refusing to be interviewed, Republican politicians will send a strong message to the rest of the mainstream media that it’s time journalists started doing their jobs again.

Hugh Hefner Just Broke His Silence On Trump’s Playboy Cover

Cooper Hefner, who has taken over control of Playboy from his father Hugh,

slammed Trump in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

    “We don’t respect the guy.

There’s a personal embarrassment because Trump is somebody who has been on our cover,”

Cooper said, speaking on behalf of himself and his father.

When you lose Hugh Hefner you know you've really lost the average Americans

    RIP Trump
