2005 Ginobili should easily be rated above 90, tbh.
Will be cool to see long haired Ginobili with today's graphics. Finally, a classic Spurs team that isn't from 1998.
2005 Ginobili should easily be rated above 90, tbh.
Lmao no. They don't give 90's to players that averaged 16ppg. You don't see Lou Williams fluffers complaining about his rating
If ing Demar Derozan is rated 89 right now then '05 Manu better be rated above 90. In fact, I think he will.
DeRozan is coming off a season where he averaged a fairly efficient 27ppg. Stop it. Manu in his prime as the number 1 option doesn't average more than 21ppg and 40 games played.
Pts per game![]()
but muh ball diving and heart
2003-2007 relevant players nba2k overal ratings imo.
2003 Team
Tim Duncan 98
David Robinson 81
Tony Parker 83
Bruce Bowen 82
Manu Ginobili 80
2005
Tim Duncan 94
Manu Ginobili 90
Tony Parker 87
Bruce Bowen 84
Nazr Mohammed 81
Robert Horry 81
2007
Tim Duncan 91
Tony Parker 90
Manu Ginobili 87
Bowen 80
Well on the all time Spurs 2K18 team, Ginobili is rated 93:
In NBA 2k6, Ginobili started rated as 90 but was downgraded to an 88 but the final patch.
Vinny Del Negro on the all-time team is disgraceful. Might as well have put Richard Jefferson, Sidney Green, or Paul Pressey on the team too.
Thank they finally did this.. I'm so ing tired of the 97-98 Spurs tbh
Totally agree. James Silas and/or Alvin Robertson should easily be over Vinny and Avery
Ginobili was an 82 in ESPN NBA2K that year IIRC
Even given his rating, you could fill it up quickly with him. Maybe in hindsight he should have had about an 89. The game's ratings were far more generous then than they are now. A 32 year old Rasheed Wallace had an 88 rating in that same game.
More like but muh efficiency and game winning style, tbh.
For Manu's '05 rating you have to look more at his '06 rating than his '05 one, tbh.
Should have went with '14 Spurs, but if they wanted more of a prime Duncan or big 3 version, I'd have leaned '07.
The all-time rosters are a great idea, but for one reason or another, they're not quite what they should be. Also, they should have more separation in the ratings.
Using Spurs as an example, as much as Bowen is beloved and Aldridge is despised by the fan base, the former only checks 3 boxes (3, on ball d, d awareness) and has no business being rated equal.
Overall ratings are based on the ratings in each individual category and it's a weighted system. For example, rebounding counts more for bigs than handle and vice versa for perimeter players, etc. That's why players like Nowitzki and Parker, who didn't check a lot of boxes, never had overall ratings in line with where their actual place was in the league during their prime.
Also, '05 and '07 Duncan were virtually the same player and as much as people love to romanticize '05 Finals Ginobili, he was actually a slightly better overall player in '07.
That's true but fans take this rating very seriously and even players so overtime 2k does keep in mind "Player" rankings to rate players.
Like even in the Most current form of nba2k18, you have Lebron, Leonard, Durant as the three best players...
What did they do to make westbrook a 94, give hima Boxout rating of a 98 even though he never boxes out but that would have created a lot of angry fans if he was below harden and curry...
I'm bringing up an old post from the search function but does this forum have any serious 2K players?
If so can you send or pm your handle.
cheers
I hit hall of fame in 2k17 but I dont have 18 yet. Just dont have time. I remeber losing 5 in a row though and that was my last 5 online games.
I remember you once took a pee break during our game
They gave him a box out rating of 98 so he can get his triple doubles pretty easily in the game.

'05 was the greatest Spurs team IMO, so I was thrilled to see them included. However, the devs only bothered to give us two bench players with Horry starting, so I created a few extra players to fill out the roster and uploaded them for the community. It's called "05 Spurs/04 Pistons/00 Blazers" on PS4.
manu was at his athletic peak not sure he deserves a 90 but would be awesome if thete was a way to capture "sneaky" athleticism
the sneaky blowby and dunk or strong layup in traffic ...Gino mastered that .
