"A couple months ahead" is before Thanksgiving, right? At that rate Parker might only miss 15 games or so.

If the Spurs got Irving or Paul, then maybe Tony's not the starter. But Mills isn't a point guard and White and Murray aren't even NBA players. So whether Tony lost a step or not, he'll start over our bench scrubs. Mills is our back up 2 guard and Manu is our back up point guard, but he's on minutes restrictions and won't play 70% of the games.

Incredible. Buford continues to sign midget guards every other week yet we continue to have no depth there. Embarrassing tnh...

I got info on the injury. Bet you $50 he isn't the starting pg for the playoffs.
How about posting that info in this tread then?

So the info is actually already out there. I just tried to look it up. Tony will have pain in that leg for the rest of his life. I don't think he will start this playoffs.

Good news. Parker always was a fast healer. Will be interesting though to see if he can ever be 2016-17 Tony again much less prime Tony. It's a tough injury. Ended Barkley's career. But Tony surely rehabs harder than Barkley.

While this may be true, I'm sure Pop and the Spurs front office won't rush him back until around the All-Star break.

    Danny got it right:

and people still question Parker's work ethic

"He's been doing his rehab like a monster, like a maniac. He's been working out like a maniac"
The injury and his contract had A LOT to do with this.

He was very complacent after the 14' Finals .. which has lead to his accelerated demise. The way he came back fat/ out of shape after the 14' Finals for the "repeat" season will always bug me as a fan.

    That's good news.
Hopefully he is not nagged by the injury most of the season like in 2015 when his quad acted up and he needed rest at frequent intervals all throughout the season, had generally a poor season and playoffs (his worst of his career? Not sure. It was rumored he wasn't 100% those playoffs either). Anyways it's good news. Him being eased in with minutes restricted is fine.

I had a smile when Danny said, I am not going to leak anything (but then leaked stuff ).

must be because you a biased fan

Parker had always been impeccable in that aspect. All who know him and those who lived in his house like Diaw, all are saying the same, he is pro and always worked hard in particular after an injury... his contract has little to do with that, Parker is just obsessed by the challenge of completing 20 years with Spurs this is what is driving him... a couple more MUSD in his contract won't change anything.

He's been a POS for years now. Dude wants a second legacy contract.
Outplayed Conley in the clincher. Nothing new there though, he's outplayed that bum his whole career.

    27 pts on 79% shooting in G6

Parker needs to be at 100% before he returns, not 99% or anything less. He clearly wasn't healthy in the 2015 playoffs and he was beyond horrible.
