^^^He's doing it so he can win again. His base has shrunk, he wouldn't win re-election as is, he has to win over some of the Left's fanbase, which he can, by being moderate/bi-partisan. If he keeps doing what he's doing- refusing to stand on one side of the line, and the Left keeps going deeper into the toilet, I'll vote Trump again.
There's one thing Americans have shown this century- complacency with absolute ty Presidents.
