Because the DAG would be the one to fire Mueller. First Trump would have to get rid of sessions. And Trump has been warned by Republicans not to fire Sessions. Which is why he tried to make Sessions quit by publicly humiliating him. (And in private too)Besides, it's far too late for any of that.

Trump cannot pardon state crimes. Which is what alot of people will be charged with. So no he doesn't have alot of cards to play.
Trump can create such chaos that there will be no attention paid to it, like Billy did with the missiles launched at empty camps and factories.
