When Texas is down to 10 gun stores in the entire state, let's talk.
Ducks says adobotion is the answer.

I would never regret getting my gun
It's hard to say about the flashes. There are so many blinking lights and reflective glass that could've been anything. The sound discrepancy is strange though, not sure why some shots sounded so distant compared to others if they all came from the same room.
Can't be unless it's some kind of weird reflection. Windows don't open. I guess you could speculate about something inside that room; it is weird looking.
Shooter was moving between two windows that face different directions. If she was pulling into the north entrance it makes sense that the shots fired from the end of the building were louder.I also noticed that some bursts sound much closer than others. I don't know much about guns. Maybe there's a logical explanation.

Better than adobortion I guess
There have been reports that he was moving between a suite and an adjoining room.
I got all this from the NYTimes. Pretty good overview.

Pretty sure there are those that do
Yep. And this is good. Once they are gone hopefully we can GTFO the middle east for awhile
I wouldn't expect it to sound so much further away, but maybe has to do with how sound waves propagate from the muzzle.
That, the fact there were so many shots and the fact that he was a 64 year old man, would indicate to me that there could have been at least one other person "assisting" him in the killings. Perhaps someone younger and the old man had him leave stealthily well before the cops came (they didn't come for over an hour after the last shots were fired).
And why 23 guns for one person? Don't mean to sound like a conspira .
$50k? Holy i'd make a killing if I were a girl
The two broken windows thing, plus the consistency of the gunshots would point to two shooters to me.
You that hard up for a decent paying job, bruh?
$50k every 9 months translates to $62,500 a year... then you add a regular job and it's easily six figures per year tbh.
Well, he could have one set up in each window. I never heard multiple guns at the same time.
Still doesn't explain the need for 21 other guns.
I'm gonna pop some tots
Only got twenty dollars in my pocket
I - I - I'm hunting, looking for a come-up
This is ing awesome
He probably planned to, idk, take over the world or something? Then got tired and shot himself instead.
More direct sound compared to being around the corner.
He set up guns on bi- or tripods at each window and walked between them. The police and security approached the room during the attack but received fire and waited for SWAT. No way anyone got out of that room.
Dude liked guns.
no... if you read the police dialog timeline, they didn't even begin to zero in on the location of the source of the shots until around 30 minutes after the attack. In the first 10-15 minutes or so they weren't sure if the shooter was in the fairgrounds, outside or inside the Mandalay or the Luxor hotel.
Hotel security already knew.

I was reading my "The World's greatest Small Arms" book by Craig/Philip.
In the handgun section, it states that most pistols 1911/Sig/Glocks (.45, 9mm etc.)have effective range about only 30m (32yd). Does this sound right?
I thought pistol ammos were lethal to aleast 50-100yds?
perhaps, but it took time for local and higher level police to catch on, and even longer for them to begin zeroing in on location.
