I wasn't as impressed by him as I was by others, maybe bc I know as a fact he's a better player. Outside of that dunk he didn't do much. But he needs to play, he won't be ready without playing.
Where do we all think Gay is in his comeback?

Standouts: Danny, Patty, LMA, JL, White, Forbes. Probably some others in garbage time.
He'll be getting a big contract somewhere soon.
Ime says Paul could guard PFs. Seems unlikely, even small-ball PFs. But he didn't look out of place at the three. I don't know what it was about him, but he's certainly in compe ion with Anderson for that fourth-wing spot.
When are the first cuts mandatory?
maybe the small PF that other teams use like the Harrison Barnes of the world. He's strong.
I don't think until like the 15th or so. I don't think the Spurs are making any decisions, though. London and that center are the only ones without spots, and that seems fine.
The Spurs don't really have to cut except Brimah (the center, he didn't play in this game), and London Perrantes who didn't play today.
The rest of the guys that played are all under contract or a 2 way deal. Makes it easier for them, but once the season starts Pop does have to choose 13 guys to be dressed.
Thanks. I am rather confused with the shorter training camp and 2 way contracts about which players are going to be around
Need to cut Costello + Perrantes ASAP!
What I did learn from this game though is that with all the guards and even Costello... the Spurs are getting ready for the inevitable exodus they suffer each season of guys they won't be able to re-sign next summer. It bodes well should they make a run at a star in the summer that they have cheap replacements already getting experience and time this season.
They only need to cut Perrantes and Brimah who didn't play today basically.
costello and Hilliard will be on 2 way deals, they may even get called up this season if there are injuries etc.
Thanks![]()
Best I could do on boxscores. Have watched for a while and espn still not updating the boxscore:

Box score is working now.
Celestial bodies are that hard to control. Gravity pull and tbh.
Thanks for the update.
It worked out well anyways. Other guys got more opportunities and showed game.![]()
Glad to know he's still tall enough to dunk.
Didn’t see the game. Does it appear there’s any hope at all for hot mus Murray?
His offense was nil but it looked like Pop is really trying to focus him on defense as he had 3 blocks in a short amount of time. If he stays on that path, it'll take a little while for him to figure out how to balance his energy between O and D but with his length, he could be a monster in the passing lanes.
All in all, it looks like he's really trying to buy into Pops D first mentality and the fact that he can suppress his ego to focus on that end speaks volumes to his ceiling, imo.
