Historically, lesser matchups draw fine on MNF and Minny/Chicago is a storied rivalry, Chicago is a top 3 tv market and ratings are in overall decline 10% since Tal X's knee. A year-to-year drop, overall, of 10%, isn't going to be caused by a "low quality matchup", while a high quality matchup will prop up TNF one week.

Yeah, ratings for that particular game are likely down because of the matchup along with the general decline of ratings. I just think the NFL was the last to go in that general decline. If more whites want to tune out because of the uppity blacks, they certainly can do that.
