People freaking out over nothing. His left quad is hurt yet he’s taking massive steps using his left leg dragging his right leg behind. On top of that, he’s laughing going up the stairs. It’s like he knew Spurstalk would melt down if they saw this video.
It's his right quad that's hurt.

    About that Kawhi Leonard video

    http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2017/10/20/about-that-kawhi-leonard-video/amp/

"Now, some context: Leonard underwent a rehab session just before the scheduled flight time. He rushed from said session to the flight. It would not be surprising for him to be a little tight or a little sore. It is also possible he had been iced up for the flight.

Leonard has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Bulls. The Spurs have announced no specific timetable for his return. But Leonard probably wouldn’t be on the trip at all if he were really too hurt to climb stairs."

Yup. Let's get Byron Scott to lead the tank this year and give Manu a farewell tour as well.

Inclined to believe that after the physical therapy session he was just sore and possibly even had ice, so just resting that leg. Still, that being the case, I wouldn't see Pop playing him against a terrible Chicago team... so the only point of him making that trip was Kawhi insisting.

Obviously it sucks because we want to see him play and it may hinder his MVP chances if he has to miss more than 15-20 games, but let's be real...

It's still mid-October. In previous years, pre-season wouldn't even be over yet.

It's not like his leg fell off or anything. There is no break, there is no surgery, he's not in a cast. If it was really serious, he wouldn't be traveling with the team, but he is.

A doctor on SI the other day said all he needs is a healthy dose of RICE and he will be better in a relatively short timetable.

It's a bummer anytime a star is injured, but better now than in April. We have a long season ahead and the Spurs will be able to stay afloat if Kawhi has to miss a couple weeks... , maybe it will just serve to give Gay and the other new guys a few extra reps.

This clarifies nothing. Why are these guys so afraid to ask obvious questions of the team/pop?

Let's hope Michael is Wright..Usually, injured players who are still far away from returning to court don't travel with the team..

Now, some context: Leonard underwent a rehab session just before the scheduled flight time. He rushed from said session to the flight. It would not be surprising for him to be a little tight or a little sore. It is also possible he had been iced up for the flight.

It takes a while for a serious quad injury to heal. You watch that video and know he isn't going to be running up and down a court for 30 minutes in the immediate future. So we go with what we have and win by 7 instead of 20, eh? I'm down with that
