The Warriors just lost to the Pistons so that atleast helps in the standings.

It didn't matter. The play was for Patty. He got a clean look. Should he have been the one taking the shot? is the question, but Kyle delivered a pass right in his shooting hands and Pop's play worked to get him a good look.
no. He was ice cold all game

Your point isn't necessarily true, though, because Green and Gay could have been decoys (or second/third options) on the play.

    That was an amazing choke!
Up by 8 at 82-74 I thought we would win by double figures. Terrible choke.

But Pop running a play for 50Mills to take the last shot is the real choke-job here.

That was a semi-desperation play. We really needed LMA to catch the ball on the play before and not take the first p.o.s. shot he could heave. Dude's like 32 and the game still hasn't slowed down for him in the big moments yet.

I agree, Aldridge should have pump faked and drove to the basket.

However, also recall that he got robbed of a 3-point play previously when he was fouled and scored on continuation.

I am not sure Touches knows how to pump fake and drive to the basket.

It's simple for me; I just don't want LMA in a position to make decisions or have to hit a clutch shot - ever.

After rewatching the final play in the game, Kyle was put in to make the pass to Mills. I guess Pop didn't trust Danny to make the play or just wanted to give minutes in a situation to Kyle.

50Mills shouldn't even be on the floor. Not when there's this guy called Rudy Gay who's clutch as .

Poop totally ed up. Not unlike a certain Game 6.

Idk, I think he trusts Danny plenty, he's gotten that shot before. I think maybe it was to try and get Patty fired up a bit. Dude has been in a serious funk, and he hit a couple last night.

He was referring to Kyle being involved in that play as the passer to the shooter, as opposed to Danny being the passer to the shooter.

I think there is some confusion, bc some were arguing Danny should have taken that shot and not Mills. While another group was arguing Danny should have been in the game and Kyle out (which is pointless bc the play was for Mills--which is what me and raybies were saying)... Now, whether Danny should have been the one taking that shot... its actually a good debate.

Oh my bad.. yea Anderson usually gets that job anyway. He's taller and likely to make a better pass. Only other guy who maybe gets that job now might be Pau like TD used to, but KA is a very good choice.

Patty missed a great look. Would've been great for his confidence if it dropped, but it is what it is. Danny would've obviously been a good choice, and maybe a better 1 for last night.

Sad thing is the Dubs are suddenly vulnerable but we're not taking advantage of it to get a lead in the standings. Oh, Kawhi, where art thou?

Yea was thinking the same. There was definitely a high probability of championship hangover/complacency, + teams going all out against them.

Hopefully we bounce back with a win tonight

good points. Plus it was a double door/elevator play. Pau and LMA were used as screeners. It was a good play called, well executed except for the missed shot. The pass was on point, the screens were well set. Patty lost his man adequately and the play was within the 3 seconds allowed. It was going to be a quick trigger shot anyways. He got a good look and missed it. Danny who has been shooting better would have been a better choise or ppl were saying Rudy Gay since he's a clutch player (but not a better 3 pt shooter than Danny or Patty).

I don't blame the entire game on that missed shot. There were plenty of mistakes and easier shots missed in the game. Patty has to get himself to play right. He's one of the worst rotation players right now.

Yea definitely don't blame it on that shot either. Started out very sloppy once again. I actually didn't like the play before that for LMA when he took that jump shot. Would've been happier with something closer to the basket. It just seemed rushed. Gay might've been a good choice here too because like you said he's not a 3 point threat, but usually a clutch dude.

The fact that they executed the last play is a good thing though. That sort of stuff gets overlooked because of the missed shot, but there are many teams who can't execute like that to get a guy wide open look.

Not really. Even with the 9 point lead, I didn't think the game was in the bag. The Spurs offense was pitiful all afternoon and once the Pacers stopped turning the ball over, I knew they would score.

They're not better than the Spurs, but they definitely were in this game.

Big difference that they're vulnerable now as opposed to six months from now when it matters.

It's not different in terms of the standings which is what I was talking about. Early season wins and losses count the same as late ones. And we're not taking advantage because of injuries and other issues. Could hurt our seeding.
