I don't believe nothing happened. On the contrary, I think a lot happened. I think a ton of collusion and money laundering has been going on for decades. Once they open that can though, they have to do damage control because those involved probably include those sitting in judgment in this case. They have to find something to close the story of the investigation without looking like a cover up, but it's going to be a cover up. Manafort and Gates, the modern day Gordon Liddy and deep throat. Two patsies. Nixon was pardoned, stepped down on his own accord. The uber powerful never fall hard. There are too many lesser types to do that for them.
