Not sure but in December 2014 they had their first losing month of the Duncan era. Kawhi injured his band, Tony was out with an injured hamstring, Patty was out with an injured shoulder. Spurs were playing CoJo some games 35-36 minutes and running Marco Belinelli as backup PG. A rook Kyle was starting for the team and got his only real rotation minutes that season.
The team still had Tim, Manu and Danny but that was it. They would pay for the losses on that month in the standings eventually falling to the 7th seed in the playoffs and facing the Clippers in 2015. That was a very challenging season. That December month they had the toughest schedule and several B2B + endured two triple overtime games that both ended in losses. I would never forget it.
If Kawhi stays injured much longer the team could face a worse situation than that Dec 2014 month. Back then Timmy D was still pretty good, he made AllStar and one of the AllNBA teams that year and it wasn’t an honorary thing and the team still had depth experience etc. This season’s team is a lot more dependent on Kawhi and has guys a lot younger for depth.
