I thought I read in the first week or training camp on his sister's instagram page where she said Kawhi told he'd be back in a week. That was 3 weeks ago. What the heck has happened? Has it gotten worse during his rehab? Is it not responding to the treatments?

Hasn't responded to treatment. TNT had a segment early in the game saying Kawhi actually did hurt it last year, played through it, and rehabbed over the Summer but it didn't respond to the treatment. Now they're doing something else but it isn't working as well as they hoped. At this point the Spurs should seriously consider shutting him down this season if they haven't already; an injury that's lasted 6+ months is nothing to sneeze at, you don't wanna jeopardize his career.
