Spurs are obviously using Gleague Spurs for bench development for the long term, with salaries sky rocketing, this is a smart move. Duane Hillard, Costllo , Blossomgame, Animah Brimah and Oliver Hanlan are the ones I believe the Spurs really hope to see develop.

Forgot about Hilliard. White won't be there to start and maybe Costello gets the call up so opening night SL may look like:

Really think Jaron should start for his size. But Brimah instead of Costello should be very good defensively.

San Antonio Assigns Davis Bertans and Derrick White to Austin Spurs

SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 31, 2017) – The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have assigned forward Davis Bertans and guard Derrick White to the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League.

Bertans is averaging 2.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.8 minutes in four games this season, while White has appeared in three contests for San Antonio.

Austin’s 2017 training camp is being held in San Antonio at the Spurs practice facility.

Bertans and White called back. They were assigned just for a practice with Toros... Toros' first game is Nov. 3, so this was probably to keep them in playing shape and maybe help them to get out of shooting slumps.

I just watched just a few minutes of it to end the 2nd Q. They are running a feature of Jsimms at halftime

the texas legend don't have any talent that stand out. Davis is having a good game. I haven't seen much of White.

As a note, I saw Davis cussing in the game in the 3d Q. I thought on the one hand I liked that he was compe ive about a game that didn't matter, on the other, thought it unnecessary... I know he got a technical in the summer league as well.. and he ended up getting a technical here as well... so he's a guy to watch with that temper. Not sure if the doghouse and him are going to get acquainted if he has issues with Pop.. like Dedmon.

He shot very well in this game and stood out. He got some open 3s and was posted up blowing by his defensive assignment. He had a good game offensively. Defensively it's another matter.

I only saw White briefly in the 2nd Q... He got injured and didn't come back into the game.

Many thanks! Maybe Hilliard is a real prospect. Trouble is the Spurs seem to be collecting 6'5" - 6'6" wings with "potential."
