Then they bring in Mark Jackson to "put some discipline and God back into the locker room".
You know he's not going to say Longgone Balls is a failure. Luke has to walk the plank if they enter the break with a record. I'm thinking Christmas, a Vinny Del Negro thing.
Then they bring in Mark Jackson to "put some discipline and God back into the locker room".
Lakers progressing and looking better each game, despite the loss. He's doing a good job.
Lakers are 5-6. I don't get this thread, tbh.
This is the Lakers, not the 6ers. They haven't been in the playoffs in 4 years. They likely miss this year as well. Jeanie Buss isn't going to want to look like Jim did, she's going to want results and she'll ask Phil for advice and he'll say they need to bring in some better ex-Lakers to coach, because Scott and Walton just weren't good enough. Magic had his shot and we all know how well he did. Time for Kobe to become the head coach.
If the Lakers win 30 or more games this year than they have overachieved. I can't see Luke getting fired if they reach that mark.
That's been said for the past 4 years about Scott and Mike D. Neither of them are around now, and I think both got payouts to leave. You can add Mike Brown to that list even though he actually made the playoffs.
The expectations were higher for Brown, Mike D, and Scott. Magic has been realistic about his expectations of this team. I have heard him say several times that he doesn't expect them to go to the playoffs and that he just wants to win more game. The bottom line is the Lakers have not won 30 plus games in 5 years. If they hit that milestone I can't see Luke getting fired. His best chance of getting fired is next season. I feel the expectations would be for next year is for them to go to the playoffs.
Shaq makes good money as an analyst and Pau is under contract. Who'll piggy back him?
this. not 100% sold on Luke especially his rotations ...but the question is silly. They only lost one game they shouldnt have ...but have stole a few ...

This.
Lakers and Magic have undoubtedly offered LeBron some kings ransom and are positioning for next year. So 30 is more then enough for this year.
Buttsex GM might even be happier with more losses.
Classic DMC, eating cakes and giving takes.
Pretty sure this is a troll thread and you took the bait.
They are among many teams still configuring the right combinations but Luke is carving his place on the Lakers with elite defense and effort, something not expected from a team comprised of mostly 1st-3rd year players. Sustaining this level of execution for 71 games will be no small task, but I bet ownership like what they see brewing from their young squad. Luke's job is definitely safe for now.
Well you don’t say...

Lebron tried to get Spo fired in Lebron's 1st year in Miami. Luke is ed.![]()
tick tock
Some say Lebron missed on purpose, to get Luke fired. Some say he wants a black coach. Maybe Kobe.
Doubt Lebron has any respect for this got as a player or a coach.
He was done for once Lebron was signed. Matter of time.
Is that going to make for awkward encounters at Kobes future burqa parties? Or banana boat rides?
Magic ok with letting fellow Luke go as long as it's fellow Kobe?
November tbh. Tyronn Lue gon be the Fakers new coach soon
