So, on Pavlov's recommendation, I went and looked at the allegations against Roy Moore; with the exception of Beverly Nelson and Leigh Corfman, none of the other women alleged a criminal act. And, in my mind, Nelson's claim is clouded by the su ion over her story and the authenticity of the yearbook inscription. I'll grant you, Leigh Corfman's allegation is the most problematic but also impossible to prove or disprove. All the other women either dated him or just told 40 year old stories about him being a creep. Oh, and the '91 story of him grabbing the ass of a 28-year old. So, no, I don't think the scale of accusations are similar. Judge Moore denies the allegations and Franken does not. Franken has tipped the scale towards himself.

And before you ascribe too much nobility to his consenting to the ethics investigation, he's probably hoping the long drawn-out process will give him cover until this all blows over. That's usually how those things go.

So, again, should he now resign?
