The Fratello cavs were awful to watch. I remember their strategy was to waste time on the shot clock on every possession.
    Yup.
He didn't have the same offensive firepower Wilkens had at his disposal so he had to use det clock.

But back when he was coaching Atlanta, his team pushed the ball

Hasn't been the same since the '14 championship. Briefly harkened back when Spurs signed Aldridge, before realizing too many of the old guys had declined too much and Warriors had ascended too much for it to matter. Last year or so, for the first and only time in my 20 years following it, have had trouble maintaining interest throughout many games.

The genized style of play and combination of antiquated, loud mouth talking heads who act as if it's a soap opera and the arrogant, hipster Lowe wannabe's, who admonish anything that isn't an iteration of their precious Warriors, have made it mostly sickening to listen to, read or watch.

Pretty much this. I have found the last two years the media and the league have hyped up certain players to create a diversion for casual fans to hide that there is zero compe ion in the league right now for the Warriors. Last year it was non-stop slobbering all over Westbrook. This year they are slobbering all over Giannis granted I actually respect his game unlike Westbrook.

Battle of dominant bigs inside the paint no longer exist. It was fun to watch Ewing, Olajuwon, Shaq, Sabonis, Yao, Duncan, Robinson, Webber, Malone, Mourning...inside the paint. Now, its all outside shooting. It's fun to watch when they're knocking it down. It's ugly when its not going in. Also, the dotted line lessen the in your face dunks, which is exciting to watch.

For year I have hated college basketball because it was just bunch of 3 point chucking due to the short line. The NBA has now evolved into that style of play.

Kirk Goldsberry talked about this a while back.

    http://grantland.com/the-triangle/is...int-line-back/

His main ideas were to move the 3-point line back to 25 feet or get rid of corner threes by changing the line's shape like this:

I would say: why not both? You could easily cover the entire three-point line with 4 defenders if it was this shape, and could cover nearly all of it with 3.

Magic learning hooks though nowhere as good as the guys you mentioned ...was key to Lakers run. Worthy also had a great post game but relied more on speed ...but his baseline spin was filthy. Aguirre, Dantley and pre injury Brad Daugherty alsi had nice post games ...for all the flack he gets david Robinson was like worthy on steroids with the first step and quick drop step baseline ..he just lacked counters that hakeem and Mchale had ..
How good was Daugherty? I've always wondered about that guy, never really got to see him play. Was his post game polished? How was he speed wise? Defense?

Also, the dotted line lessen the in your face dunks, which is exciting to watch.

Daugherty is very much like Aldridge with a better passing game. Aldridge has a better mid range shot, and a better ball handler, both are soft.

When Duncan came into the league, a small part of me was worried his peak level would be Brad Daugherty because at time, they're highlights look similar.

Brad was slow man, he’s more like Hibbert.

Brad wasn’t much slower than Aldridge. Both of them use their lower base well to their advantage.

On d, Brad has nothing other than rebounds. He couldn’t block, not that great on rotations.

Those worries with Daugherty was really unnecessary. Duncan was much quicker during his young days, clearly better as a defender, the only similarity is the that both of them do not have an above the rim game but even then Duncan was way more athletic than Daugherty ever was.

Those Daugherty price nance Williams cavs would have won 4 straight les I today’s ultra soft league. Price would win 6 MVPs in a roll and should get a couple of fmvps.

I love Mark Price but yeah, no, sorry. That Cavs team would have no chance in today’s NBA.

What do you mean about the dotted line? Was there no dotted line before?

It's the line inside the paint. It's for defensive player advantage, if defensive player is outside then it's almost automatic you get an offensive foul. Behind the line, it's defensive foul. Yes, there was no dotted line back then.

Just noticed, it's no longer dotted..

Disagree. Today's league is soft. In 91, they eliminated a C's team that I think would've won the le with better health.
