I sense this to be some attempt to ask for permission but then also a power play in going after such young girls. And then of course the huge step of unwanted advances and touching. I don't think Moore believes he did anything wrong. " I'm an older male, this is what I do."
Franken. I can see him thinking this is a big joke but taking advantage of this joke by going farther than the victim wanted. A comedian pushing the boundary because that's what you do. He did not try and run from it and apologized. But did not bring it up himself. And he knew he pushed it at the time.
Now we put this in the frame of now after the absolutely abhorrent behavior of Hollywood types. Neither of the above got close to the examples that started this. It's the same theme though, a power play. A "Because I can", move. But the degree of physical contact and the state of the victim's position are not the same.
Then we got Trump bragging... His insecurity is massive. He must belittle people around him. What he just pulled with the Prime Minister of New Zealand continues his transgressions. But she punched back pretty hard. So I guess all is well. Mouthy insecure males like Trump just need to be embarrassed in front of a group of other males. I would be happy to slap him around in front of his colleagues, not hurt him, just ground him and mess his hair up. He needs it.

The woman says that he groped her, based on the picture, but the picture doesn't show any contact. He expressed a great deal of remorse. As I said, I am willing to let a one-off slide, with some contrition.

The ONLY source saying she has an accusation to make is a ty website that peddles conspiracy theories, you ing moronic partisan hack. The time to believe that is when she puts out a direct statement in a source that doesn't peddle "Las Vegas shooting was staged" conspiracy theories.

I noticed you never responded to the snobby liberal elite comment. My sister worked closely with Norm Coleman in his Senate bid against Franken and that's EXACTLY the reputation Franken had. We are talking past each other a bit here. My comment was taking issue with the term "elitist liberal", because I find that term to be useless and counter productive, and not really in any way a comment about Franken specifically.
I really don't know exactly what was in his mind, and wouldn't go so far as to comment beyond the obvious actions.
Liberal elitist, imo, refers to the liberals that feel that they are smarter, more educated, and anyone who disagrees is an idiot. They are en led because your stupid. This differs from a conservative elitist who feels that anyone who struggles just didn't work long enough hours or is lazy. I tend to think of the basic white girl who says she worked hard in college and studied but between student loans and mom and dad didnot work a real job. She didn't have to buy a car, insurance, or worry about food or cell phone.

Policies are good or bad based on what evidence and reality. People that disagree with me are not inherently bad because they disagree with me. Some of my best friends are conservative evangelicals who pray for me on occasion. They are good people.
That said, your actions or thoughts in some things are the definition of being a -head. Defending Moore at this point, is past that line.
