One of Moore's 14 yo accusers said her mom was proud that a young 30 something yo old lawyer was looking for wife. (After daughter was grabbed) Mom did not know Moore was married. In the context of the time and place one can see how a young girl might be totally befuddled by what was appropriate. But she knew she was horribly uncomfortable and tod not to tell. It reminds me somewhat of people who look at Nazi Germany and claim they would never have been Nazis. Context and time is important in moral relativism. It's all wrong. This lady did not even understand her own daughter was ashamed of herself. I think Franken should resign. But there are certainly degrees of depravity to be determined by our own sense of fairness and harm done to a victim. And I say this without knowing exactly what determines who should be allowed to represent our country as a Senator.

This is country still does not treat women as equals in rights. But they can vote now. And il bet more women vote based on their husband's preference than the other way around. And we still have tough debates when our children actually have rights to decide certain individual preferences and when parents have the right to shame, spank, embarrass their children.

I understand how people give their own grades. And it's really based on Judeo-Christian concerns of the idea that every individual has been given certain rights by God, non believers as well. (And Despite what Chis thinks)
