The Clippers were unfortunately derailed by injuries. When healthy, they showed they can hang and even beat championship teams (2015)

Tiago was injured, porker was injured, Kawhi was injured twice that season and no preseason, portland division screwed us in the seeding, duncan got called for a phantom foul, clips scorers table rang the horn early and pop goes ballistic. And ya lost a 3-1 lead to the rockets and I think ya were up like 20 points in the clinching game.

Chris Paul was playing on one leg and one healthy hamstring. He was clearly hobbling when he drained the game winner. Next excuse please.

Meh, Green's defense made up for Parker. The Spurs had a lot of head-scratching moments and oddball plays, the Clippers forced a lot of that. I know the CP3 banker still hurts you though.

We weren't gonna win that year. The Spurs clips and warriors were the top 3 teams by point differential for the season. Sucks we took each other out. But nah, I think about 2014 more.

Porker's "injury" was just an excuse for how he got outplayed by his own backup in the playoffs per par. I always breathed a sigh of relief that series whenever MVPatty checked out and Porker checked in.

Trade will probably be Tristan Thompson and Iman Shumpert and the Brooklyn pick for DJ and Lou Wil

Cavs aren't getting Deandre without including the Brooklyn 1st and that seems like way to much for a 1 year rental. Jordan is definitely the better player than Thompson. If the goal is to try and get past the Warriors than do it, long term it makes no sense giving up that 1st rounder for a 1 year rental of Deandre. Now if your the Clippers you try and get this trade done if the Cavs will cough up that 1st rounder. As of now the Cavs might not even get past the Celtics, nevermind the Warriors. I think the Cavs shouldn't do it, the Clippers would get the better side of the deal with that 1st rounder.

Well it's an upgrade over what they have currently, but worth giving up that 1st rounder for a 1 year rental of Deandre? Hmm. If they can do this deal and keep that 1st round pick, it makes a ton of sense for the Cavs. The Clippers might do it without the 1st rounder if they can get word from Deandre himself he will not resign. Tristan Thompson is better than having Jordan walk.

meh, tristan thompson is worth nothing to the clippers.. and the brooklin 1st may not be as good as people thing, given that they have sneakily drafted two great defenders in rondae hollis jefferson and jarrett allenn.

They gotta pull out all the stops and pray it's enough to convince LeBron to re-sign. If I'm the Cavs and can land Jordan plus Lou Williams for Thompson, Shumpert, and the Brooklyn pick I'm doing it in a second.

Jordan only marginally helps the Cavs and doesn't address bigger problems. Cavs are near the bottom of the league in 3PT defense and also steals / causing turnovers. The average age of Cavs guards / wings is about 31-32. Crowder hasn't been that great defensively. And the only perimeter defenders that have been even remotely effective have been LeBron and surprisingly Wade. And IT doesn't help the perimeter defense either. Cavs need a young, versatile defensive wing more than DeAndre Jordan.
