where were u past 5+years.............a&m sec move + manziel has made aggy the premier in state school as evident by the hire/facilities/revenue................texas = baylor pre 2011 to high school kids a&m = texas mid 2000s

Jimbo is a good recruiter when he is winning, but he is about to face hard reality that the SEC thing isn't a benefit, it's a curse and when he continues to come in 4th in the SEC your win starved fanbase will turn on him just like they did with Sumlin.

The only people that believe crap like this are stupid aggsy. The only way aggsy become Texas is if they actually win something of value. having a big stadium and nice facilities ( not nicer than bama) is good but you are still putting lipstick on a pig, and that pig is your football program.

Aggsy is a top 20 program, but not a top 15 program. Texas is a top 10 program. deal with it.
I don't think that any team in the state can claim the "premier in state program." That le has just not existed this decade. No one can claim that le since Colt injured his shoulder.
Moving conferences is not a requisite for claiming the "premier in state program." That is beyond stupid. You actually have to win and A&M just won in one year... 2011.
Not sure I believe this is a legit possibility, but 24/7 is also reporting Brewster is being pursued by UT and another Big XII school.

My feeling is some A&M reporters are saying UT is interested so they can claim a head-to-head win over UT.
They know Texas fans have wanted Brewster back for years and he'd be a thorn in our side.
Chip is the only one saying Herman is interested, and doesn't mention an offer on the table since there are no staff openings currently.
Someone would need to get fired, demoted or Herman will have to wait until the new extra coach is allowed to join the staff.
All of that makes the Brewster story unrealistic at the moment.
Why laugh though we own Houston. You just lost a Houston kid and Max Wright is visiting Bama soon. Brewster was in charge of getting VY to Texas. He helped recruit Marvin Wilson and D. Jackson to FSU, was probably close to landing Waddle at some point this year.

His school just payed out 78 million over 10 years to a guy that won his only championship because of the super human effort of Jamis Winston. If Jimbo doesn't pan out they are stuck with him for the full decade.

aggy is a perennial 5th place team in their own division. How on Earth are they "the premier in-state school"?
TCU, Baylor (until their scandal), and even Houston have been more relevant on the field than aggy in recent memory. Texas has been a dumpster fire for years now and still recruits better than aggy. Ever since Johnny Inbred went to the NFL and the novelty of the SEC move wore off, nobody cares about them anymore.
How is aggy a top-20 program? They're 26th in all-time winning percentage, 22nd in conference championships, 56th in bowl record, and they haven't won a national le since 1939. Their program is nowhere near as relevant or as great as they think it is.
