I love DesignatedT, he hides all year long and now he thinks he has something to gloat about.

His school just payed out 78 million over 10 years to a guy that won his only championship because of the super human effort of Jamis Winston. If Jimbo doesn't pan out they are stuck with him for the full decade.

I guarantee aggsy will be 2-2 to start next season and you are going to hear the fire Jimbo song birds coming out.
6 years after "The Decision", we have gone from:
    - an athletic department having to take out a $16M loan to generating almost $200M in revenue in '15/'16.
    - a worn out stadium where the biggest upgrade in 10 yrs was the Bill Byrne ribbon board to a $500M meca unrivaled in college sports
    - a Heisman trophy winner (ok - maybe JFF wins that anyway but would he have attracted as much attention doing what he did against SEC defenses if he did it against BU, KU and TT)
    - a salary inflator for mediocre coaches to a viable landing spot for top coaching talent.

They would have been in the playoffs if they stayed big12

And yes jff would have won a heisman, just like RG3 did and baker will

Houston Lamar lost last night to Galena Park North Shore, so CB Anthony Cook should be make a decision pretty soon.

No they wouldn't have. They would never be the best team in the Big 12. They didn't do anything before they left the Big 12 and only Sumlin's first season would have competed for a Big 12 le.

    that shiiiiiittttttttt!

As far as I'm concerned, there are only two coaches in CFB that are virtual locks to turn a program around and that's Nick Saban and Urban Meyer.

Jimbo is just another gamble. He may work out brilliantly or A&M may look as lost as FSU looks right now.

Gary Patterson probably would have been a better hire for Aggy if you're going to bet the farm (pun intended) on a coach.

If Brandon Jones can improve on the level of Elliott then the defensive backfield will again be pretty solid next season. Boyd (if he stays) and Davante Davis will be very solid corners. I feel confident Texas will get guys up to speed at the nickle dime and strong safety position. We will end up relying on more freshmen than I want, but not as starters which is how it should be.

As long as Chris Nelson pulls his head out, he will be the center piece of the dline next year. I think Christmas is gone, but I'd like for him to stay, I think he could develop into a heck of a player if he would put forth the effort and buy into what Olando and Giles are trying to do. Other than that, with the other guys we have coming back I think the Dline will not have a drop off. Omenahu is in the same boat as Boyd, he might be draft able now, but I highly doubt he will be drafted if he leaves early. He might as well stay one more year and improve as he still has a lot to learn.

Texas linebackers will be an interesting group, I think Gary Johnson will step into Jefferson's role without much dropoff, but who will step into Johnson's role? I think Hager, McCullough, and Wheeler will form a solid linebacking core.

Don't forget PJ Locke returns at the nickel. He wasn't game charger but he'll be solid and should only improve. I'm almost certain Chris Brown will occupy one of the safety positions. I know he was getting rave reviews during fall camp before being injured otherwise I think he would have seen the field some. I think he'll be a good one already a reputation as a thumper like Vaccaro.

I think our defense will be solid next year but the offense is what worries me. If we don't shore up our line then it'll be another 6-7 win season. We can't run the ball efrectively and our qb gets destroyed all game long. What are the odds we change offensive coordinators?

Hopefully changes are made, but don't expect any news until after the bowl.

Also, the new tenth assistant can become official in the second week of January.

Richest deal in college football history.

To put in perspective, if they want to fire Jimbo halfway through his contract, they'll still owe him more than Sumlin's entire deal.

FWIW, The Football Brainiacs published different information on CB Kris Boyd today.

More than one source has told them it's "likely" he's leaving for the NFL.

Yes they would have. Tell me who in the big 12 would have beat them in 2012, Johnny's heisman year.
