Paul Manafort begged Jared Kushner not to fire him from campaign over secret Ukraine millions

Trump exclaimed “I’ve got a crook running my campaign.” ( actually, "I'm a crook campaigning for Pres" )

Trump wanted Bannon to fire Manafort that day, but Bannon cautioned that it would make a flood of bad press.

He argued Trump should simply remove his authority and give him a new le.

Kellyanne Conway was named as the campaign manager

and Bannon was the new CEO.

Trump demanded son-in-law Jared Kushner fire Manafort. That following morning Manafort balked at the request to resign, concerned about the perception it was about the Ukraine stories.

“It will make me look guilty,” he said.

Kushner warned nothing could be done and a press release was going out any minute.

Trump defended Manafort just months ago, saying that

Manafort’s lawyer proved there was no collusion on the campaign.

Why chaos? The GOP might feel they need to have the Dear Leader's back next year with midterms coming and Trump's popularity with Republican voters to try to fend of primary challengers. Flake and Corker already pussed out on their re-election bids after coming out against Trump. It sure seems like the GOP is scared of him. I don't think they'd do anything but maybe some weak interviews with the press condemning the move if he got Mueller fired.
Because to get to Mueller, Trump may need to fire Sessions first. Republicans love them some Sessions and you'll see them act should he fire Sessions first. It still won't matter because the investigation doesn't stop if Mueller is fired. Plus he can be reappointed in one of several ways.

Oh that would force the hand of way too many Republicans I believe. And then definitely lead to a much easier route to investigate obstruction of justice. If he totally wanted to go to the die hard, I'm with you even if you kill someone, maybe so. This would be incredibly divisive to a party that has just had to use extraordinary means to barely pass a significant bill (simple majority).

I think it would do the opposite of what you have stated.

It would be an amazing event to witness though. I imagine Mueller won't even talk to Trump unless they are both recorded. There is no Hillary Clinton email narrative to justify the firing, there is nothing. Trump could actually give Sessions a huge amount of power to do Trump in, dare him to fire a justice dept employee again. Would be a massive show.

    1. Oh, man. If I’m looking at things right, this OIG report is going to stun the nation. This is going to be MASSIVE.

    2. POTUS may already have this report, given his tweets over the last 24 hours. Trump certainly knows about it. Even he seems shocked.

    3. Forget Watergate. Forget any scandal you have ever heard about, researched or read about in your lifetimes. The scale of what is going to emerge in the next days and weeks will be unlike anything you have ever considered possible.

    4. In the frame - the entire network that enabled Hillary Clinton’s corrupt campaign is about to be exposed & routed. This is the same network - but not all of it - that enabled Obama’s corruption, as well. But there's so much more that will probably be revealed.

    5. Here’s the full original statement by the Office of the Inspector General dated Jan 12, 2017 -
    oig.justice.gov/press/2017/201…

In this thread, let’s just consider the specific allegations they mention in the statement.

    6. 'Allegations that Department or FBI policies or procedures were not followed in connection with, or in actions leading up to or related to, the FBI Director’s public announcement on July 5, 2016, /..

7./...and the Director’s letters to Congress on October 28 and November 6, 2016, and that certain underlying investigative decisions were based on improper considerations;’.

    8. Targets : Comey, Lynch, Bill Clinton, McCabe, Strzok. Anyone involved in the fraudulent clearance of Hillary Clinton by James Comey on that fateful day in July, as well as the farcical shut down/cover up of the Human Abedin email trove (November) is about to be nailed.

    9. Those not exposed have either flipped on a plea deal, or WILL be exposed. All of them.

Speculating - but I now suspect Strzok & perhaps Lisa Page flipped and were ‘recruited’ by Mueller into his SC, in order to tell the OIG everything they knew.

    10. Next - 'Allegations that the FBI Deputy Director should have been recused from participating in certain investigative matters;’

Targets - Andrew McCabe & Comey.

    11. This will expose McCabe’s links to the Clintons, especially his accepting some $700,000 as a bribe from the Clintons to cover up the investigations into her classified material. As well as any other shonky conduct he has been up to over the years.

    12. Next - 'Allegations that the Department’s Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs improperly disclosed non-public information to the Clinton campaign and/or should have been recused from participating in certain matters;’

    13. Target - Peter Kadzic.

This will expose Peter Kadzik’s role investigating & working with Comey / McCabe to shut down the Human Abedin email trove:

    14. And also Kadzik's general collusion with the Clinton Campaign itself (note - this email was sent from his gmail to Podesta):

    15. Next - 'Allegations that Department and FBI employees improperly disclosed non-public information;’

This will expose the LEAKERS. But also the entire Comey/ McCabe/Kadzik network within the FBI & DoJ may be in the frame here.

    16. Note that this is about to drop just after genFlynn quietly departs the scene. Thomas Wictor’s important analysis has revealed Flynn’s masterful role in identifying these individuals.

    17. Next - 'Allegations that decisions regarding the timing of the FBI’s release of certain FOIA do ents on October 30 and November 1, 2016, and the use of a Twitter account to publicize same, were influenced by improper considerations.'

Oh boy. This is EXTREMELY interesting.

    18. On October 30, 2016 FBIRecordsVault , a twitter account that had been inactive since 8 October 2015, suddenly exploded into life again.

There were TWENTY tweets released on October 30, 2016.

    19. These included innocuous tweets about Eric Trump, the father of DJT:

    And Nikola Tesla :
But there were other tweets, as well.

    20. About General Petraus, whose career was ended by Obama for mishandling of classified information :

    21. And about a certain infamous politician who had committed far more serious breaches, but always seemed to skate - Hillary Rodham Clinton :

    22. On 1 November, the same twitter account tweeted about FBI investigations into a certain infamous President who always seemed to skate, as well - Bill Clinton:

    23. Quote - 'The bulk of these records come from a 2001 FBI investigation into the pardon of Marc Rich (1934-2013), aka Marcell David Reich, by President Clinton in 2001.'

    24. Targets : Bill Clinton, Eric Holder (the Assistant AG who cleared Rich) & John Podesta (Bill Clinton’s Chief of Staff).

    Oh, another thing.

    25. Following the pardon, the same Marc Rich helped Bill Clinton set up his Foundation, which used the front of a charity as cover for a massive criminal enterprise involving pay to play, money laundering, /...

    26. /..racketeering & tax evasion - at the very least. Crimes Rich had a particular expertise in:
    en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Rich…

    27. The final sentence of the OIG statement is often overlooked, but VERY important.

'Finally, if cir stances warrant, the OIG will consider including other issues that may arise during the course of the review.'

    28. This essentially authorizes the OIG & DOJ to investigate anything they want arising from the above, which is pretty much everything the Clintons & perhaps even Obama himself, have been up to.

    29. Folks, I’m going to say it : #TheStorm IS ABOUT TO HIT. And it's unlike anything we have ever seen before.

    BUCKLE UP.

    The end.

    1. The statement today by the DOJ Office of Inspector General is exceptionally noteworthy. cnn.com/2017/12/02/pol…
    37 tweets 15 hours ago

    2. What makes the statement noteworthy is that IG investigators don't generally talk when they're in the midst of their investigation.

    3. The fact the DOJ Inspector General released a statement, generally implies the underlying investigation is coming to a close. [They are, most likely, in the writing report findings phase.]

    4. Many people probably were probably not even aware the Office of Inspector General was investigating the FBI.

    5. Those who were aware (the DOJ-OIG was investigating the FBI), likely forgot the investigation was happening because it has been going on for almost 11 months.

    6. The investigation began in January of 2017 as an outcome of (righteous) concern the FBI senior leadership was compromised by politics ahead of the mission. oig.justice.gov/press/2017/201…

    7. As you can see from the originating memorandum, the Inspector General probe has a wide berth to look at how internal politically corrupting influences might be shaping the outcomes within FBI investigations.

    8. the DOJ-OIG anticipated their investigation lasting approximately a year. We are almost at the end of that year. Hence, the likelihood they are assembling a final report.

    9. Based on the exceptional amount of controversial FBI decisions in the past several years, there's every reason to believe that IG report will lay bare the politicization at the highest levels of the FBI.

    10. That anticipated 'IG-report-reality' is exactly the reason we are seeing this:

    External Tweet loading...
If nothing shows, it may have been deleted
by @Comey view original on Twitter

    11. No doubt the highest FBI politicized leadership that remains within the FBI is sending coffee talk to Comey (and others including media allies) who are no longer inside.

    12. Those internal forces, black hats per se', are also likely the primary leakers from within the FBI over the past several years. They are leaking to media types like the New York Times, Washington Post and to a lesser extent CNN.

    13. And that's what explains THIS:

Top FBI official assigned to Mueller’s Russia probe said to have been removed after sending anti-Trump texts
Private conduct of a senior counterintelligence agent and an FBI lawyer could stoke further debate about the bureau’s impartiality.
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...=.ea6233a6d2d5

    14. In essence, the (generally ignored) year's-long Inspector General report of the top-tier of the FBI is coming to a close. And those *insiders* are leaking to get out ahead of the content of that IG report.

    15. Remember, the entire construct of the IG report was based on identifying if politics was driving FBI outcomes. Naturally, there are going to be politicians, beneficiaries of the politicization, who will also join in the effort to undercut the IG findings in advance.

    16. The inherent politicization, the BIG PICTURE here, is what explains THIS:

CA Dem. Dianne Feinstein: Senate's Russia probe is building a case for obstructing justice: NBC
Dianne Feinstein told NBC that the Judiciary Committee was exploring a potential obstruction of justice charge against President Donald Trump.
    https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2017/12/03/...-vs-trump.html

    17. The likelihood of multiple top FBI officials, and more importantly their behavior, being identified by this probe is very high.

    18. There's also great trepidation. Publicly showcasing how the FBI has been politicized for the benefit of one political ideology, and creating two sets of justice, is also very dangerous for the chief law enforcement agency of the country.

    19. "Outing corrupt FBI officials" is not an endeavor to be taken lightly. In actuality it can undermine the entire system of the way law-and-order is perceived.

    20. Think about how you would approach identifying corruption amid the FBI, yet still retaining public confidence within the ins ution.

    21. Initially it might be easy to say: 'who cares, just do it'. However, there are big ramifications if not done correctly, with brutal honesty, and with full disclosure and public sunlight to explain the reasoning therein.

    22. In advance of revealing such damaging information, the IG would need absolute impenetrable examples to hold up as evidence. In part because one-half of the ideological enterprise, including media, will seek to tear down any report not favorable to their tribe.

    23. Meanwhile, if history serves as an accurate precursor for what follows, the leadership of the adverse political ideology will seek to blame Trump for eroding the trust, faith and integrity of the FBI.

    24. It certainly appears the pending IG report on the FBI is what lies behind much of the current activity stirring amid the swamp. The top tier of the FBI, those who will be outed as "Black Hats, also have nothing to lose.

    25. This FBI 'zero-sum outlook' explains why the FBI top-tier officials have refused to comply with congressional requests for information.

House Republicans prepare contempt action against FBI, Department of Justice
U.S. House Republicans are drafting a contempt of Congress resolution against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray, claiming stonewalling in producing material rel…
    http://amp.kansascity.com/news/polit...187821979.html

    26. Why should FBI officials help congress to discover information that shows those same FBI officials are corrupt? The easiest way to avoid oversight is non-compliance with the request from the compliance officers.

    27. If you are a corrupt FBI official, inside an agency holding lots of top-tier corrupt FBI officials, and the only risk is political - and your tribe will attack your opponent based purely on ideological alignment, who cares if congress holds you in contempt.

    28.

House lawyer urged contempt citations against DOJ, FBI over dossier 'stonewalling'
In an internal House memo obtained by Fox News, a senior counsel for the House Intelligence Committee urged Republican Chairman Devin Nunes three weeks ago to pursue contempt of Congress citations ag…
    http://feeds.foxnews.com/~r/foxnews/...newalling.html

    29. The Black Hat FBI officials have been hunting White Hat leakers adverse to their ideological goals.

Clinton-Lynch tarmac meeting report triggered FBI hunt for leaker, new emails show - Breaking911
Watchdog group Judicial Watch released 29 pages of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) do ents related to the June 27, 2016, tarmac meeting between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and forme…
    http://breaking911.com/new-do ents...clinton-cover/

    30. Meanwhile, President Trump appears fully aware the IG report on the FBI is coming soon to the sunlight. He too gets to hear about leaks. The Black Hats leak to MSM, the White Hats leak to other White Hats.

    31. People often think of Trump in narrow terms and forget he worked his way up to being an apex predator in Manhattan real estate by fine-tuning his instincts. He can smell a drop in an ocean. Those instincts are why he seems to have the ability to see around corners.

    32. Trump, sort of like a lawyer, doesn't tweet something he doesn't already know the answer to. He baits the media to attack him.

    33. This IG investigation is almost finished. No doubt Trump has a great instinct on the contents therein... hence, the tweet-bait. He's setting the stage for the grand reveal, by coaxing, goading, the MSM to chase him.

    34. Trump wants media attacks on him, for his criticism of politicized FBI and Intelligence leadership.... because ultimately Trump knows the FBI and Intelligence community have been weaponized by politics. Heck, we all know this.

    35. The media will chase him. Critics will blast him... and then all of a sudden, WHAMMO.... here's the year-long IG report on a political FBI leadership team. Which proves what he's been critical of. oig.justice.gov/press/2017/201…

    36. And with the full attention of the public upon the dynamic, the issue of faith in the FBI is less consequential than the visible issue of Trump -VS- the Swamp. In essence, Trump protects the White Hats in the FBI by taking the heat upon himself.

    37. See how that works?

    **THE END**

Extraordinary means? That's how they passed their tax cut last time under Bush. That's how they were trying to repeal the ACA. Extraordinary means would be doing something that could have gotten 8 Democrat votes to get to 60. You have way too much faith in the GOP breaking from Trump, which doesn't make much any sense to me as we're seeing the party being purged and remade in Trump's image.

Trump’s Lawyer Claims to Be Voice on “Access Hollywood” Tape

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Hoping to put to rest a mystery that has long bedeviled the nation, Donald J. Trump’s personal lawyer, John Dowd, revealed on Monday that it is actually his voice that appears on the notorious “Access Hollywood” tape.

Speaking to reporters, Dowd said that the so-called locker-room talk attributed to Trump had

actually been carefully crafted by the former reality-show host’s legal team and then read aloud by Dowd himself.\

Additionally, Dowd said that comments widely thought to have been made by

Trump indicating that he believed that Frederick Douglass was still alive were also Dowd’s handiwork.

“President Trump was about to say something about whether Frederick Douglass was alive or not, and I stepped in at that moment and said that he was,” Dowd said. “I stand by that statement.”

Dowd went on to say that other actions attributed to Trump since he took office,

    including alienating nato allies,

stating that an imaginary armada was steaming toward North Korea, and

naming Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director,

were all actually done by Dowd.

    “Let’s be clear,” Dowd said.

“Since Donald Trump was elected President, he has done nothing.”

Trump's idiotic 'the lawyer did it' excuse gets much, much more stupid

Dowd told NBC News that he drafted the tweet and then sent it to White House Social Media Director Dan Scavino to publish.

    Really?

And could Dowd produce that email?

When asked for the original email he sent to Scavino,

Dowd said he dictated it orally.

    In other words,

    he lied,

    about his lie,

    about his lie.

    Right, Kellyanne?

Dowd has another simultaneous assault on reason underway.

    The "President cannot obstruct justice

because he is the chief law enforcement officer under [the Cons ution's Article II] and

has every right to express his view of any case," Dowd claims.

    So …

    Trump didn’t do it,

    but if he did,

    then it can’t be obstruction,

    because he can’t obstruct.

    But it doesn’t matter,

    because Dowd did it.

    By email.

    Orally.

And Kellyanne saw the whole thing.

Other legal experts agree this is no big deal.
