• Ford says it intends to shift future production of an electric vehicle from Michigan to Mexico.

This chart is like common sense - what's it's supposed to say/mean? Do you understand what a progressive tax is? That people in higher brackets pay the same amount of their first dollars? Or proportion - that a flat dollar ($100-$500 or > $500) increase/decrease is a much smaller percent as one's income gets larger? So yes, as one has a higher income, the percentage of those people getting tax cut > $500 will increase? The only line that is perplexing is the $1mil and over but it probably is because most high earners live in high tax states (SALT).

And the most senseless column is the middle one - Tax Change Less than $100 - Change could be tax increase or decrease. Of course, < $100 is going to affect more people in the lower brackets more than in the higher.

The important thing is that a high percentage of the middle class (defined by Pew Research as $42k to $125k) is getting > $500 tax cut.

You are trying to sell a tax plan where less than half will see a tax cut of at least $500 bucks. As you said, the more you make the more likely you are to hit that mark.

On the flip-side middle America has a 10-15% chance of getting a tax hike. The working poor get little or nothing.

The rich will take their tax break and invest in stock market. It adds 1.5 trillion to the deficit.

So, wheres the plus side? How is this better?

Nancy Pelosi Gets ROASTED For Lying In Tweet About Concealed Carry Bill

Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was heavily criticized on Wednesday for blatantly lying about the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 that was passed in the House of Representatives with 231 votes in favor and 198 votes against.

Pelosi’s tweet claimed that the bill invited violent criminals, domestic abusers, and convicted stalkers to "carry concealed weapons" which "doesn’t save lives."

Her claims are not remotely true; those three groups of people are not only banned from buying guns, but they are banned from even possessing them. That the Democrat leader would tweet something so demonstrably false can mean only one of two things: either she is deliberately trying to mislead the public or she is actually this ignorant of existing gun laws in the United States.

According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Gun Control Act (GCA) codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), makes it illegal for the following persons to ship, transport, receive, or possess firearms or ammunition:

convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year; (Felony)
who is a fugitive from justice;
who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act, codified at 21 U.S.C. § 802);
who has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental ins ution;
who is an illegal alien;
who has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions;
who has renounced his or her United States citizenship;
who is subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner
who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Just Invented A New Excuse For Why Trump Won’t Release His Taxes

NBC‘s Hallie Jackson picked up on this issue and posed the following question,

"You said, on Tuesday, that as long as [President Trump’s] taxes are under audit, he’s not going to release them; his 2016 taxes–to our knowledge–are not under audit–unless they are.”

To which Sanders replied:

The president’s taxes, no matter who the president is, actually immediately go under audit after being filed.

Sanders’ full excuse, therefore, is that President Trump

still can’t release his taxes because they’re presently subject to an automatic audit.

Except that’s not really the case.

While it is true that presidential tax returns are automatically audited by the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) since the time of President Richard Nixon,

nothing about the automatic audit actually prevents presidential tax returns from being released.
