Undefeated when Parker plays. Legend
Down two All-NBA defensive players (KL/Green) and another solid defender in Anderson (top 3 player in the season so far) and they still pull out the W against best team in the East (record wise)—a young, athletic, hungry and well-coached bunch …
Easily best win of the year…
I have been down on them and, might still be, as far as being a legit contender (ie. = beating the warriors) but a 18-8 record without the 2nd or 3rd best player in the planet while missing their best PG for as much is an admirable effort and result irrespective of the schedule strength.
Any other team not named the Warriors would have capsized in similar cir stances..
Now enter Leonard.![]()

Can't wait to see this team hit their stride at full strength.
Dilly dilly to both posts
Deserves an all star and maybe an all nba this year
We have to appreciate our players frankly.
Also kudos to Spurs young players for working on their games this summer and coming in balling.
Finally Manu, ageless, HOTS with the wolverine recovery, come back of the year?
Rudy has given the team exactly what one could have hoped. Such a much much much better pick up than JSimms.
We have to appreciate this team this season.
Some guys will get paid and not be back... can't be helped.
No ing thanks to Clanky Mills, that's for sure.
God bless El Niño Forbes
dilly dilly indeed
I think it shows how sucky the league is this year. I can’t remember a more lethargic regular season.
off. That was a great game.
What an idiotic thing to say after this game in particular. The Celtics are one of the very best teams in the league so far this year and the Spurs won the game undermanned. It was a great, great win.
Wait, what? This regular season has been pretty interesting so far.. lots of good basketball being played. Way better than last year's first quarter of the season. Not sure what you're looking for. And tonight's game was pure entertainment..
I am guessing that the expression you are trying for is as follows...GO SPURS GO!
I can't believe we won with Bryn Forbes checking Kyrie the whole game.
Wouldnt have if kyrie wasnt so stupid
because the warriors feel inevitable, or what?
i personally am enjoying the season a lot more than last years thus far, lot of drama
Nice win tonight, I'll just leave it at that.

Wow. Watched the game and it just occurred to me Verde didn’t play. Makes this win feel even better![]()
No complaints here outside ty in-game decisions by Pop at times. Glad to see Fathead, Forbes, and Gay really stand out so far this season.
We were unfortunate to catch the Magic in the middle of their fluke hot start..Could've also stolen that Thunder game if Pop didn't go overboard with the tank..
We could be speaking about 20-6 and tied for second in the West with GSW..
They've persevered no doubt but, we should pump the breaks just a bit. They're 24th in SOS so It's not like they've played and beaten a lot of top dogs during this stretch.
I'm not discounting the SOS argument (only 4-6 vs teams >.500), but it remains a great achievement to be putting all those wins on board in today's NBA when, for over 20 games your team best perimeter play-maker was possibly a 40 year-old Manu..We had to rely on the stiff (Green), the slow-footed (Anderson) and the Achilles-heeled (Gay) to be handling the ball and running the offense on the perimeter..It is rather sad to see some fluidity on that end was only regained when post-tendon 35-yo Parker was back last week...
All in all, the record and operation stay-afloat was product of the defense..They need to get much better on offense to have chance at challenging GSW and Houston..
