Boogie has proved this season he's not the uncoachable guy that most people thought. I just want to watch him playing on a top team, at this point of his career, he deserves it.
He's a dominant player. He's the perfect antidote to small ball. I think he's shooting too many 3 point jumpers from the few games I've watched this season, but when he decides to go inside, especially if you put a small guy on him, he's likely to punish that smaller defender.

I really did want him on the Spurs, but unfortunately he's playing too well to be traded and as usual, I don't think the Spurs would want him due to his perceived character issues (for the record, I think he'd be fine on a team like the Spurs).

Do you guys think New Orleans would trade him if their record continues to flounder?

Paul George is a nice player but the Pacers seemed to do just as well without him as with him. Olapido's success doesn't surprise me much. In college you saw the potential.
He's from Indiana too, isn't he? I recall that being mentioned around the time of the trade. Looks like the home fans would be even happier that he's a local guy that's also playing well and looking like a new perennial All-Star.

Also, the LeBron to Houston thing, how would Houston get/create the cap space to pay him? I am starting to think with the Rockets having the number one record so far this season that, that would be his number one destination since they also have one of his best buddies in Chris Paul.

for as much as that debate has been going on between Chinook and Manu4tres about Patty, the 50mills, the chemistry and what not... chemistry and fit is so important for Pop that there is no other reason to explain that many years of Bonner, who is now a broadcaster and is seen in the training facility all the time practicing with the guys and helping to keep them in shape. And there have been some questionable contracts given out lately due to the chemistry aspect bc there is no doubt that for similar $ different players could have been obtained, but it's not just about their games, but their personality and "fit".

Not everyone can be a Spur either. Look at JSimms. I know you don't want to accept it, but he wanted to be gone. He felt restricted in Pop's system and he wasn't going to achieve his personal/individual goals in the Spurs, who are oriented towards teams and his ego was going to be subordinated to the collective.

Spurs emphasize the selflessness to a fault to the point that the team comes before you (get over yourself). It's not easy. Everyone respects the Spurs, but not everyone can be a Spur or even wants to be a Spur. The first time Boogie gets benched for slacking off on defense and Pop placed Lauvergne out there he's going to fume. He's not going to be as polite as Lamarcus about "touches" either.

Oladipo is from Maryland but he was recruited by Crean to Indiana University. He was a plus defender, high energy guy, not a good shooter at all. So yeah, he's a local guy essentially.

HPBasketball is well known for being a Spurs hater.
You have to read him after Celtics lost to Spurs, it was a great win for us but the next day he only tweeted Celtics stats like it was just one team on floor, didn't even mention the Spurs.
I’m so glad he blocked me on twitter for calling him out when he tried calling Iman Shumpert an elite defender then backtracking. Sore loser. Must suck to be a Grizzlies fan and get paid peanuts to work at CBS.

Only time anyone’s blocked me, and it’s made Twitter a much more enjoyable place to visit

But Westbrook had no help and triple doubles

Most fraudulent MVP winner in modern times; and yes it beats Kobe's 2008 and Rose's 2011 MVPs..iT was a disgraceful, selfish stat-padding charade really..

A trade sounds better than lose him in FA next summer, I doubt Pels could re-sign him.

dude is clutch man. He may be better than Paul George. Maybe not from a talent perspective but definitely from a team perspective.
he definitely has the biggest engine, and it's clear he worked a lot in offseason, is another player.

ps: the big difference is the unreal increase in% 3pt: 36% x 44% (never greater than 36% in any previous season), no positive or negative influence of Westbrook about this, incidentally, his 3pt% in his only season with Westbrook was greater than in all his years playing with a larger role in Orlando, his improvement was ONLY his work in the low season, good for him, which is reaping the rewards now.

two of them have the ball in their hands for a long time, the other plays with the two best 3pt shooters all time, and one of the best scoring machines in history, is normal

Been calling Lebron to Houston for months now. Makes too much sense tbh.
Same. Lakers were always a red herring.

I realize he'd never sign with Spurs, but these Lowe wannabes are so biased against Spurs in the past year and a half (because they're not trying to be Warriors and praising them is now considered played out) that one even had the gall to claim "Houston would give him the best chance of beating Golden State. It might be his only chance."

How can they possibly afford him? LBJ has gone on record saying he'll never take less than the max again.

Watching the Pelicans, I don't know why posters are up in Cousins' jock. He's not just a tremendously ty and lazy defender, he often just loafs down the court after turnovers, leading to blown defensive assignments, dunks and wide open three pointers. The guy is lazy as . How can anyone want him on their team?

Cousins is a complete detriment to close games. Whether be conditioning, stamina, endurance whateva. He plays literally no d to close big games
