Watching the Pelicans, I don't know why posters are up in Cousins' jock. He's not just a tremendously ty and lazy defender, he often just loafs down the court after turnovers, leading to blown defensive assignments, dunks and wide open three pointers. The guy is lazy as . How can anyone want him on their team?
wrote the same thing. I don't care how dominant he is throughout the game. He costs big games at the end. And people want this guy on the Spurs. no.

Cousins also has perpetual negative cloud around him at all times. He's always in some with either a ref, player, or teammate every single game.

he literally cost them the game. They had career games from Jrue and Moore, franchise high in 3's and still lose... I'd be pist. I am pist and they ain't even my team. It's a just a shame man.

otoh when they gonna blow up OKC. They are lifeless right now.

Truth. Don't understand why so many on here want him. Pop would rip into him once and then he'd check out.

Didn't watch the game but checked the boxscores and saw that Capella had 28 points on 13-14 shooting. I'm assuming Demarcus gave him a lot of open layups and dunks considering Capella doesn't have a jumpshot.

I think when they got Melo and George the team thought it'd be easy. When they struggled, it looks like they all checked out. George is waiting to bolt to LA, Melo to wherever the banana boat is moored (maybe Houston). No one cares. It's bad for Westbrook because it reaffirms Durant's comment that Russ isn't a winner even with talent around him. Durant can say "See, I couldn't win with him, and neither can Melo and George." Not quite buying it, but that would be the spin.

I view them much the same way I viewed the D'Antoni Suns which is a team that wins a lot of regular season games but folds in the playoffs. They are going to win 60 plus games but they will fall apart in the playoffs when they face either the Warriors or the Spurs. The goal for them is to get the 1 seed so they get to the WCF while the Spurs and Warriors meet up in round 2.

i don't know if i have the energy to watch the whole GS Portland game hoping the Blazers upset... Scrub teams can't close man. Only a handful of teams in the league that can close.

Warriors without Green and Curry. They should be able to take this with the Warriors handicap...

Cousins in the pick in roll is a nightmare for the Pels. He gave dunk after dunk. Even Asik couldn't guard it which is understandable. But I guess they really missed AD in this situation.

    This.

D'Antoni teams are not made for the playoffs. Sometimes they get a round or even 2 on sheer talent, but they always fall apart.

There is is dam awful and they are second in the league before this game. Maybe the people who say the league sucks now. Nobody no one knows how to play d now it appears. I like our chances if we stay healthy, cause we have a top5 d without Leonard and when we get him, I assume we'll be the top D in the league.

They are an embarrasment. I hope Melo goes to the Rockets with Lebron. He'd act like a sinker weight.

It's pretty frustrating how the Rox and Warriors are winning a lot of games due to teams not being able to close them out in the 4th quarter. I'm starting to believe that for the Spurs to catch them in the standings that they will have to go on super win streak of 16-20 games.

In my prediction that the Spurs would be a top 3 team in the west without Leonard, I knew it would be Warriors and Rockets as the other two cause Warriors are the Warriors but the Rockets play a high offense game and that seems to always win in the regular season. I didn't think that OKC would be this bad though, just thought the Spurs would be better with continuity.

Not gonna happen when Pop has four, five guys resting at the same time. Rest two and then alternate another two, maybe... but rest five dudes at the same time? Good luck. That OKC game was winnable.

that's basically what i said... I just used more words.

and make no mistake, he'd pout about touches too, and not privately like Lamarcus.

    Spursfan is really ungrateful...

They don't have hard working roleplayers in underpaid deals like Kyle, Davis and Bryn.

Wait until the team lets them go and fills up on the real jeff ayers and joff lauvergne's of the world. I hope to God that's not the case, but these guys aren't minimum vet type players. They are better than that on very small deals. I am hoping they get paid at this point. They deserve it. I don't care if it's the Spurs or not.

You could definitely be right about it but just judging by the pace the Warriors and Rox are going at they are both going to win 60 plus games. Realistically the spurs are not catching them unless they go on a super win streak. I still think there is a chance in the Spurs could go on that super winstreak. In '14 they went on 19 game win streak so it's possible granted highly unlikely. It's just going to suck having to play the Warriors in round 2 without HCA. I'm more confident the Spurs can beat the Rox without HCA.

My prediction is they bring back 2 of the 3. Davis is the most likely to be gone but it also could be Bryn. I think Kyle is back.

Yeah if Rox hold on the one spot we'd be better off in the four spot. That being said the second round will be tough, but if we are full strength I think we will be hard to beat.
