Back at it tonight at home as we face an 11-17 Clippers team that have lost 6 of their last 9, including their last two on the road to Miami and Washington. Kawhi is listed as Probable and Danny as Questionable, but both are expected to play. Gallinari is listed as Out for the Clips, and Rivers Jr. as Questionable. Good chance for us to get another winning streak going as we enter a favorable part of our schedule over the next month. Spurs need to take care of business at home and let's get this thing rollin'. Let's get it.

Hey, I was gonna do the game thread since I called Saturday's comeback win, tbh. I got next game then...
This is what I'm referring to. Spurs are entering their easiest portion of their schedule this season for the next 4 weeks.

Not as easy as it looks when you consider how a lot of those teams are actually playing good ball right now and the Spurs have been awful on the road. Could easily see the Spurs going something like 13-9 through January.
Not easy, but easier than the rest of the way, at least on paper.
Best team we play is Detroit who are currently 17-13, but have lost 7 of their last 10 (still a solid team though).
Next best are the Blazers, Knicks, and Nuggets who are all slightly above .500. Rest of the teams are all below .500.
The last couple months of our schedule are pretty brutal in comparison.
Need to consider where they play those teams though. Spurs always struggle at Moda Center, Air Canada Center, and MSG while playing at Utah is never easy too (especially on a B2B). Philly is also on a B2B.
Best team they play in that stretch is Cleveland too btw, and they should have IT back by then. Only saving grace for the Spurs in this stretch is having Kawhi back, albeit as has been discussed him being on a minutes restriction and that messing up the SL's rhythm is an issue.
Honestly, even though they have to play GS and Houston three times each after January the fact they only have two B2Bs (one of them being against the Clippers and Lakers in LA) and plenty of 2+ days off between games makes it an easier stretch than what's coming up imo.
I was only referring to the next 4 weeks. We don't play CLE til the 23rd. But yea, that's a fair assessment. Will be interesting to see how they handle it, especially now that Pop's going to be slowly incorporating Kawhi back into the rotation full time. Will help that we're getting Kyle back in a week or two also.
Tbh I just want to see this team at full strength for a stretch, even if it's a short one. Hard to measure us right now with so many guys missing time and our lineup been changing so often.
Spurs had an easy schedule already and the next month looks like a nice stretch to give Kawhi a chance to find his rhythm and condition. Hopefully his playing time rises quickly but Pop will smash my wish I guess.
Still pissed at the Clippers for 2015. Hope the Spurs blow them out!
Good points.
I share this sentiment 1000%. It's good for everyone to have gotten experience and I do hope that pays off in the end with shooters like Bryn and Davis having gotten confident and Dijon "getting better game by game", but truth be told this team shouldn't be playing Bryn Forbes as a wing player for 30 minutes+.
30minutes Bryn has been a result of all of Kawhi, Danny, Kyle injuries.
The team is a lot better than what they were these past couple of weeks when you consider all the run Pop gave the microcombos, Kawhi in injury restrictions and Pau playing like crap.
We haven't really seen this team fully healthy.
Hopefully I don't have to see Danny-League miss open threes, miss layups, let his guy open in the corner, or refuse to fight thru screens.
I hope Murray gets a lot Of minutes really need to see if he has what it takes to play PG for us or are we going to have to draft another PG.
