Can you make a case for why Amtrak deserves any federal subsidy? My parents used them a few years ago and had nothing but horrible things to say about Amtrak. It was expensive. It was super slow since Amtrak trains have really low priority on the tracks. From their experience I think I'd even rather ride Greyhound.
