REPORT: McCabe Supposedly Contradicts Himself In Testimony; Unable To Cite Examples Of Verified Dossier Allegations

"McCabe claimed he could not recall — despite the reported existence of do ents with McCabe’s own signature on them establishing his knowledge of the dossier’s financing and provenance."

Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe’s seven-hour interrogation by congressional investigators did not go well for the embattled FBI agent who purportedly made statements that contradicted evidence and was unable to provide any substantive examples of verified allegations in the anti-Trump dossier.

McCabe’s testimony supposedly prompted House Permanent Select Intelligence Committee (HPSCI) members to decide to issue new subpoenas for Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) personnel, Fox News reported exclusively.

Key takeaways from James Rosen’s report at Fox News:

McCabe was supposedly a “friendly witness” to the Democrats that were present in the room.
The Democrats tried to push McCabe into helping them build a case against President Donald Trump — and were unsuccessful.
McCabe apparently described how thoroughly the FBI worked to verify the anti-Trump dossier and claimed that it is was credible.
When pushed for examples of what was verified in the anti-Trump dossier, McCabe was only able to identify the fact that Trump campaign advisor Carter Page traveled to Moscow — McCabe could not even verify anything about the meetings that Page supposedly had.
“The sources said that when asked when he learned that the dossier had been funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, McCabe claimed he could not recall — despite the reported existence of do ents with McCabe’s own signature on them establishing his knowledge of the dossier’s financing and provenance.”
Assuming all the information from the Fox News’ report is accurate, this is disastrous for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged and unproven "collusion" between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.

Mueller’s investigation has taken several major blows to its credibility, including the revelation that DOJ official Bruce G. Ohr was demoted from his position for hiding his connection to Fusion GPS, the firm behind the anti-Trump dossier. It was later revealed that Ohr’s wife, Nellie H. Ohr, worked for Fusion GPS.

Last week, lawmakers released text messages from a key FBI agent on the case, Peter Strzok, that revealed the presence of an extremely strong anti-Trump bias in the government agency — and potentially on the case.

One text message is proving to be especially troublesome for Mueller’s investigation, CNN reports:

Later in a text from August 15, 2016, Strzok tells Page: “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy's office” – an apparent reference to Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe – “that there's no way he gets elected – but I'm afraid we can't take that risk. It's like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40 . . . ." Page does not appear to have responded, according to records reviewed by CNN.

The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro weighed in on the gravity of that text message, noting how it changed the dynamics of the investigation in terms of who might be guilty and who should be investigated:

This looks an awful lot like motivation for launching an investigation into Trump in order to sink Trump as a hedge against Trump’s victory. The FBI’s investigation into Russian governmental interference in the election began in July 2016, just weeks before Strzok’s text message. And that means that there is now more of a smoking gun of FBI corruption against Trump than there is of Trump colluding with Russia.

BREAKING: Jeff Sessions Orders New Look Into Uranium One Criminal Investigation

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has ordered prosecutors at the Department of Justice to begin interviewing FBI agents about evidence they uncovered in a criminal investigation into a highly-controversial uranium deal that involves Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Multiple law enforcement officials confirmed Sessions’ orders to prosecutors, NBC News reported exclusively in the early morning hours on Thursday.

At the heart of the issue is the 2010 Uranium One deal which Hillary Clinton signed off on while she was Secretary of State at the U.S. State Department.

    NBC News adds:

A senior law enforcement official who was briefed on the initial FBI investigation told NBC News there were allegations of corruption surrounding the process under which the U.S. government approved the sale. But no charges were filed.

While Clinton has vehemently denied that she did anything wrong, a fresh round of reports in recent months from The Hill and Circa News suggests that there is more to this case than meets the eye.

An October report revealed that the FBI started gathering evidence in 2009 of Russian officials engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion, and money laundering that were involved in the Uranium One deal:

Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court do ents show.

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by do ents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill.

Rather than bring immediate charges in 2010, however, the Department of Justice (DOJ) continued investigating the matter for nearly four more years, essentially leaving the American public and Congress in the dark about Russian nuclear corruption on U.S. soil during a period when the Obama administration made two major decisions benefiting Putin’s commercial nuclear ambitions.

Current Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating alleged and unproven claims of "collusion" between the Trump campaign and Russian officials, was the acting FBI director at the time of the investigation into the Russian officials who were engaged “in a bribery scheme aimed at growing their atomic energy business inside the United States.”

    The Hill reported in October:

The investigation was ultimately supervised by then-U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein, an Obama appointee who now serves as President Trump’s deputy attorney general, and then-Assistant FBI Director Andrew McCabe, now the deputy FBI director under Trump, Justice Department do ents show.

Both men now play a key role in the current investigation into possible, but still unproven, collusion between Russia and Donald Trump’s campaign during the 2016 election cycle. McCabe is under congressional and Justice Department inspector general investigation in connection with money his wife’s Virginia state Senate campaign accepted in 2015 from now-Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe at a time when McAuliffe was reportedly under investigation by the FBI.

The connections to the current Russia case are many. The Mikerin probe began in 2009 when Robert Mueller, now the special counsel in charge of the Trump case, was still FBI director. And it ended in late 2015 under the direction of then-FBI Director James Comey, whom Trump fired earlier this year.

In November, Mother Jones interviewed Clinton, who claimed that she could not be investigated by the Trump administration because it would cons ute an “abuse of power.”

“If they send a signal that we’re going to be like some dictatorship, like some authoritarian regime, where political opponents are going to be unfairly, fraudulently investigated, that rips at the fabric of the contract we have, that we can trust our justice system,” Clinton said.

Let me walk you through this one since it obviously went right over your head

"Mueller is a bad joke who doesn’t seem to be in on it. He’s bumbling forward, apparently ignorant of just how horrible it looks – how horrible it is – to have hired no one but committed Hillary donors for his team. Actually, it’s much, much worse than that – he’s actually hired lawyers who represented some of the unindicted criminals associated with the Clinton mosaic of corruption. Perhaps in the world Mueller inhabits with tools like Jim Comey, another buffoon who loves to preen in the glow of a once-spotless reputation that he chose to Schiff all over, this plays. But in the real world, in our world, it’s a sham, and not a very good one at that."

I still think Mueller knew exactly what he was doing when he built his team. The OIG investigation started before his team was assembled.
I even bolded it so to make it less confusing for you.

I disagree with everything that I quoted from the author of the OP. I believe Mueller picked his team specifically because of their ties to Clinton. I believe Mueller coordinated with the OIG before picking his team. I believe Mueller and Trump discussed this in their private meeting the day before Mueller was named Special Counsel. I believe Mueller put that team together knowing the OIG would be tracking and investigating every single one of his team. We are starting to see the results of the operation now.

BOMBS : Susan Rice Admits She 'Unmasked' Senior Trump Officials

Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice told members of the House Intelligence Committee she intentionally “unmasked” senior Trump associates because of a meeting held between campaign officials and a crown prince from the United Arab Emirates.

According to CNN, Rice told lawmakers in a private hearing that Obama officials requested the iden ies of Trump’s aides because they were concerned over a New York City meeting between a U.A.E. Sheikh and those with close ties to Trump’s transition team.

The Sheikh reportedly met with Michael Flynn, Jared Kushner, and Steve Bannon in New York City on December 15th.

Rice said the Obama administration was interested in the meeting because other U.A.E. officials intentionally concealed the visit from American officials; raising alarm bells over the nature of the trip and whether it related to “foreign collusion” in the 2016 presidential election.

The former National Security Advisor admitted to the House Intelligence Committee that she specifically requested the “unmasking” of Americans who were mentioned in intelligence reports associated with the visit.

Earlier this year, Susan Rice denied she intentionally revealed the iden ies of senior Trump officials, saying “The allegation is that somehow the Obama administration officials utilized intelligence for political purposes […] That’s absolutely false.”

nobody denied they were unmasked ... the question was if it was an improper abuse of power. it was an obvious "no" like 10 months ago when this "scandal" was first talked about, and even latent sexual Trey Gowdy said Rice didn't do anything wrong

    Nunes on the hunt!

Secret Republican committee is investigating alleged Trump-Russia connections. Here’s why.

Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee have secretly met for weeks in the Capitol to “build a case” that the Justice Department and FBI mishandled a dossier of information on alleged ties between President Donald Trump and Russia, Politico reported.

The side committee, led by Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), hopes to uncover “corruption and conspiracy in the upper ranks of federal law enforcement.” They have consulted with the House’s general counsel, but have not told Democrats what they are doing, according to Politico. The group expects to release a report detailing their concerns in early 2018.

Democrats are calling it an attempt to discredit Robert Mueller, the former FBI director serving as special counsel for the Trump-Russia investigation.

    Politico reported:

“To Democrats, the GOP offensive is an attempt to distract from the investigation of Trump associates by Mueller, who has already indicted Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and secured a guilty plea from his first national security adviser, Michael Flynn. There are indications he’s investigating whether Trump obstructed justice by firing former FBI Director James Comey, whose exit led to Mueller taking over the Russia probe.”

How did it get to this point?

FBI Director James Comey told Trump a dossier was collected on Trump’s alleged Russian ties. Trump has called the allegations “fiction.” Republicans on Capitol Hill also say the information is not credible. Trump fired Comey in May.

According to published reports, the Democratic National Committee paid for the dossier, which was prepared in 2016 by “a former MI6 British intelligence operative.” The report detailed alleged links between Trump, his campaign, and Russia. Marc Elias, an attorney with the Clinton campaign and the DNC, hired a Washington investigative firm, Fusion GPS to conduct the research. Fusion then hired Christopher Steele, the ex-British intelligence agent, to piece together the alleged Trump-Russia connection.

Republicans allege that the FBI, Department of Justice, and Mueller’s team are biased. They’ve pointed out that Mueller’s attorneys gave donations to Democrats. They have also noted that two senior FBI officials, formerly assigned to the special counsel’s office, bashed Trump in a series of text messages. The text messages were revealed by the Department of Justice inspector general.

When is this expected to end?

On Monday, Trump predicted he would soon be exonerated by Mueller’s investigation. But the investigation could continue into late 2018, Vanity Fair reported. That’s partly because Flynn and former Trump adviser George Papadopoulos, who both pleaded guilty to minor charges, have said they are willing to cooperate with the FBI and supply information.

“I think it’s possible [that during the meeting] Mueller’s team could give them an idea of how much longer they anticipate their investigation will last,” Peter Zeidenberg, a former deputy special counsel, told The Washington Post. “I would be shocked if they have a timeline anything similar to what we’ve heard coming from the White House.”

    What are people saying?

Illinois Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D) said on Twitter that he has asked the intelligence committee to continue investigating the alleged “Russian interference in our democracy.”

The Project on Government Oversight tweeted that Republicans should not conduct a secret investigation that excludes Democrats. POGO describes itself as a non-partisan “investigative organization with an expertise for working with sources inside the government and whistle-blowers to do ent evidence of corruption, waste, fraud, or abuse.” POGO was founded in 1981.

Trump and his cohorts must be ting themselves to go through all of this trouble If Mueller's investigation was such a "nothingburger" I doubt they would be trying so hard to distract from it or cast doubt on it. These guys look scared and desperate.
