If we're being honest, this game was lost in the 1st half with pathetic offense and terrible 3pt defense, tbh... the 3rd quarter was an oasis in the middle of a performance.
Yup, that's pretty much the game I watched. Once again, as is their habit, the Spurs sputtered out of the gate FLAT.

If Kawhi is indeed holding himself out, then that's him listening to his body. Can't be mad about that.
Nor am I mad. I was merely answering your question with an explanation that I don’t think it’s a Pop schtick.

We don't have much concrete information to go with other than what we've heard out of Pop, Kawhi, and media stuff. If it's his quadricep tendon, there are a number of problems that could have gone wrong...namely, the most probable being a quadriceps tendinopathy. There are do ented recommended treatments, and then there are others. I wonder about that, and what treatment management is takig place. It's just a nature of privacy but boy would I love to know what's been tried, what effect has it had, how long has that course of treatment lasted, etc. We literally only have what I've said before, plus a very small game tape sample size to go with for the naked eye.

Erroring on the side of caution is understandable. But we're talking a professional basketball player who just about uses that tendon at every instant on the basketball court.

I hope it isn't as bad as it was made out to be. If this is all on kawhi, and his body telling him his limitations, we just got to take the punches right now and deal with the problem day to day.

White is too tall for a guard. He clearly didn’t fit with Pop’s plan to indulge in midget fetish.

    +/- lmao
Joff has a +3 in the worst performance of the season and people keep using that stat to prove something, it's weird

The lineup with Murray was only plus-four, though. You make it sound like it was some huge comeback. , that particular lineup you mentioned (Murray, Mills, Gay, Anderson and Joff) was only plus-one during that stretch.
Maybe, I didn't check the play by play. But what I do know is that that lineup was down double digits at one point and got the game within a single possession to finish the 3rd. All I'm saying is that Pop should ride the momentum, that that lineup was carrying, to start the 4th.

Felt like a scheduling loss after a rough game the night before.

The Spurs went on an 11-1 run to start the third with Parker and Forbes as the guards. Then Mills came in for Forbes, and the Jazz scored six straight points to get up by eight. Then Murray came in for Parker and the team went on a 17-13 "run" until Forbes replaced DeJounte to end the quarter. Here are their players' individual plus-minus results for the quarter

    Parker -- plus-4
    Forbes -- plus-12
    Mills -- zero
    Murray -- plus-4

And the team was plus-10 on the whole. I can certainly understand why Pop went back with Parker and Forbes, because that was easily the most successful pair he had seen so far that half.

Also, the famed lineup with Mills and Murray was never down more than the eight points they started with.

He could have waited for 3 or 4 minutes into the 4th to get back to them, after seeing if the lineup that finished the 3rd could have kept the momentum going into the 4th. I'm obviously not saying Murray and Mills should have played the entire 4th. If the Parker/Forbes was his best duo it should have made more sense to have them finishing the game, something that was not probable to happen by having them start the 4th.

You have to consider that if the Tony/Forbes duo was indeed the better one in terms of +/-, they did it playing with the rest of the starters. Not with the lineup that finished the 3rd.

Still arguing plus minus is dumb
