lol we are in the middle of a rebuild ..who is ignoring that? lf worst case that lopez KCP and Randle leave ...we haven't lost much especially since you argued Randle is a bust ...he is not ...but by your scouting we lose nada
He is a bust, he is another JJ Hickson as I said from the start. Hickson could fill the boxscore too.. KCP and Lopez leaving are a given tbh.. Lopez is a bad fit and KCP will take whatever money he can get. Meaning Walton will have to recreate a gameplan and automatisms.. And then it's already time to max the sf .. can't remember his name, he's too forgettable. Clarkson is making more than Rudy Gay, Patty Mills or Danny Green.. Fankly, i would rather see Randle sign a Clarkson type contract tbh..

yes Clarkson does make more because he is younger and although may be less proven doesnt play for the penny pinching Spurs ..plus he signed to stay on a team not a contender and tbs, i still rather have him than Mills tbh.
and i would take randle over poor mans Timmy oakafor ...lol

so... you get paid more for playing less meaningful games and less in numbers anyway.. not to mention, you're not really accountable for the losses and there's always excuses for everyone..

    market dictates your pay ...
Spurs can lure past their prime guys to ring chase for less $
Clarkson had leverage cuz he was the best of a sorry lot ...
mills still is overpaid as is Pau ...green took a big discount god bless him but no more rings are coming to him or Pau regardless.

Fox's PER100 stats are better (scoring wise). Longo only leads in the per game stats because he gets a lot minutes for a rookie. Ball is definitely a better natural rebounder and passer than Fox, but those are two areas which have a reduced importance for PGs in the modern game. Both players are still raw, though. Fox probably has the better upside relative to what the modern NBA PG looks like.

Lemme guess, you'd take Fox over Lonzo? He doesn't even start over garbage Hill.

son what do you expect from these box score watching farmers tbh?
lonzo just has to work 2-3 years on that jumpshot to make it passable and he is a lock for 17-7-7 with GREAT d and excellent ball movement. we're set at that position for years tbh.

he has improved each month, the past 10 games he's shooting 38% from 3 and 42% from the field. he's a rookie averaging 1steal/1block and running a team properly, with great passing, ball movement and defense. y'all s are rearching smh, he's a very good pg in the making.

They are playing him off ball a bit more:

More baby steps for our rookie PG.

    indeed.

They're like 2-15 or something since Longo has "improved." I keep telling you, he won't be taken seriously as anything until he averages 20+ efficiently. Just the way the NBA PG works today. Assists and boards are irrelevant.

He didn't play all 17 games during that 2-15 stretch so -20 points for misleading these farmers with your hate

He don't need to score 20ppg. I'm good with him developing into about 15/8/6 on a consistent basis. He already rebounds on an elite level for a PG (not to mention he's a rookie). He is an above average passer too. His scoring will come. I'm not sweating efficiency because let you tell it, Kobe (44.7% - career) shouldn't make the HOF before D-Whistle (48.4% - career). When every non-Laker fan outside of ST know what's up

    Zo will be fine.

He'd start for the Sp*rs (a playoff team) right now. I'm not joking either. Shhhhh!!!

he's clearly a project. Shouldn't be starting until at least his third year, being left so alone for such big minutes every time, will hinder his development as far as shooting in traffic and as far as fixing his stroke is concerned. Granted, it will make his statlines look a lot better, but for a team that is trying to make him the face of the company, it's a very bad look.

Negatives vs his nemesis, Fox: Fox outscored him 16 to 5. Zo shot horribly percentage wise.

Positives: 11 rebounds (elite rebounder for a rookie PG). 11 assists (above average passer; teammates actually hit some shots this night; imagine him with better teammates next year ). 1 turnover in 37 minutes (great considering how much he has the ball in his hand). Assist to turnover ratio: 11:1 (fantastic for a rookie PG). +33 vs Fox's -26.

Other than scoring, I wonder what else midnightpulp thinks Fox is better than Zo at? Scoring ain't everything son
