    not understanding confirmation bias

Confirmation bias, also called confirmatory bias or myside bias, is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's preexisting beliefs or hypotheses.
So what you said was: confirmation bias. Ergo fear?

    That makes no sense.

So you cannot show your logic?

Or are you confusing "sensible" with "logical"?
Sure I can. The state will return to pre-regulation levels and resume a similar rate of increase/decrease after the regulation is removed.

The discharge of arsenic, lead and mercury will return to pre-regulation levels once the regulation is removed.

    No, that's your conclusion.

    Where are your premises?

Roy Moore: I Took A Lie Detector Test, I'm Innocent

Republican Roy Moore remains defiant over the December 12 election results for the Alabama Senate seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Moore has yet to formally concede and has filed a lawsuit to delay the certification of his opponent, Democrat Doug Jones, who won the election by about 20,000 votes.

In the suit, Moore, whose campaign was derailed by allegations of sexual misconduct, said he took a lie detector test following the election that he says proves his innocence.

"Also provided in the complaint is an affidavit from Judge Roy Moore stating that he successfully completed a polygraph test confirming the representations of misconduct made against him during the campaign are completely false," said Moore's campaign in a statement released Wednesday.

During the election for the Senate seat, multiple women came forward to accuse Moore of having inappropriate relations with them when they were teenagers and he was in his 30s. “One woman says she was 14 years old when Moore touched her sexually. Another accuser said Moore assaulted her when she was 16 years old, pushing her head towards his crotch in a locked car,” notes The Hill.

Moore filed the lawsuit hours before Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill is set to certify Jones as the election winner. The suit claims election "irregularities" and calls for an investigation into voter fraud. "In the complaint, Moore’s attorneys noted the higher than expected turnout in the race, particularly in Jefferson County, and said that Moore's numbers were su iously low in about 20 Jefferson County precincts," reports the Associated Press.

"The purpose of the complaint is to preserve evidence of potential election fraud and to postpone the certification of Alabama’s Special Election by Secretary of State John Merrill until a thorough investigation of potential election fraud, that improperly altered the outcome of this election, is conducted," reads a statement from the Moore campaign.

Jones' spokesman Sam Coleman said the suit's "desperate attempt by Roy Moore to subvert the will of the people will not succeed."

"The election is over, it's time to move on," Coleman told The Hill.

Earlier this month, Merrill confirmed that an investigation into voter fraud was opened after a video went viral of a Jones supporter seemingly bragging about traveling from out of state to vote for the Democrat.

Incorrect. The conclusion is part of the argument. I provideded a conclusion with a missing premise which was more than sufficient for this stupid back and forth on the ST political forum.

You know DMC has lost an argument when he intentionally makes basic errors like he did here, grasping at anything to try and trip up his oponent.

Look on the bright side pickle-breath. These little asides drag your Hillary % down! Although I think it’s fair to call this Hillary adjacent

Don't forget the Republican establishment rigging it too. Keep nominating Looney far right re s like Moore and that Chemtrail Kelli over in Arizona and we'll be able to "rig" a bunch more. We'll trick the normal swing voters to be revolted by child molesters who say crazy backwards things and goobers who go to Chemtrail conventions

    You said it was logical.

You need to show it's logical. You used your conclusion as your premise then doubled down by saying "no, it's a conclusion.. with a missing premise" when I said "you gave a conclusion, not a premise" as if what you said is different than what I said.

To show logic you need to show how you reached that conclusion.

The premise was stated upstream. There wan an assumption that the discharge of arsenic, lead, mercury into the environment is not good for the environment. Again, that’s totally reasonable for this back and forth on ST.

Don't expect someone else to piece together your logic. You said it's logical, you piece it together.

    1. Arsenic, lead and mercury discharge is bad for the environment (this needs to be proven and clarified)
    2. Prior regulations caused lower emissions of these
    3. Removing those regulations causes more of these

These premises assume the regulations were physical devices that are being removed from things that emit those materials when in fact they were punishments that collected money from business who violated them.

Where is the evidence that fewer were emitted and that more will now be emitted? You're going from pure speculation based on distrust of industry coupled with trust of the Obama administration's ability to actually change the output.

The "something is better than nothing" angle is tire and meaningless when you expect to support your assertion that removing regulations who's effects are basically unknown will create known effects.

I've never endorsed Roy Moore; and I said he should've dropped out of the race. None of that means the Dems are gonna stop pulling .

like this has happened to plenty of Democrats. Not with teenagers but with scandals and affairs; Gary Hart (Dem frontrunner for presidential nomination) way back in 1988, Bill Clinton's accusers in 1992 were a big Scandal before the election, John Edwards was rightfully driven out of politics, et cetera but when it happens to Republicans lately you guys act like it's some kind of big conspiracy.

At some point in his life if not consistently, Moore likely acted in an improprietous manner. I don't shed any tears for him. If Dems want to be taken seriously, you don't bring in hitmen like Gloria Aldred, whom we know is a joke. You stop doing things counterproductive to fair voting standards. IDs for voting is not racism; it's simply taking care that my right to vote is not subverted. Stop with all the nonsense if you want to think you're on a higher plane.
